(To Quoc) - Immediately after the floodwaters began to recede, teachers at many schools in Quang Ninh district (Quang Binh province) rushed to clean up the classrooms in order to welcome students back in time...

Reporters in Quang Ninh district (Quang Binh province) observed that, in addition to teachers, the school also received assistance from the army, militia, youth union members, and parents to clear mud, clean desks and chairs, and sanitize classrooms so that students could return to school as soon as possible.

Mr. Le Ngoc Huan, Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh District People's Committee, visited and encouraged the schools. With the motto "Clean up as soon as the water recedes," Mr. Huan hoped that teachers would make efforts to quickly restore the schools to their clean and beautiful state after the flood. At the same time, he urged the schools to assess the damage to facilities and teaching materials and report it to higher authorities so that the earliest possible solutions can be implemented to support teaching and learning for the students.

During the recent floods, many schools in Ham Ninh commune (Quang Ninh district, Quang Binh province) were submerged under more than 1 meter of water, bringing with them a large amount of mud and debris, requiring significant effort from the schools to clean up.

The teachers' proactive efforts in "sweeping" away the mud as the water receded helped speed up the cleaning process, resulting in a cleaner school.

Schools have rented or borrowed high-capacity water pumps to both drain water and push away mud and debris.

This collaboration helped reduce the workload for those involved in cleaning up the school after the flood.

At Ham Ninh Kindergarten, post-flood cleanup was extremely difficult for the teachers because many outdoor items had been submerged in floodwater for a long time, making cleaning very time-consuming.

Not to mention the large amount of mud and soil accumulated in the nooks and crannies of the playground, fairy tale garden, and decorated areas used for teaching preschool children.

Necessity is the mother of invention. To push the water and mud out, teachers and parents used flexible water pipes, inflated them with water, and began pulling them from the inside out.

Although done manually and with human effort, a significant amount of water and mud was removed, saving cleaning time.

The flooding threatened to damage the flower pots decorating the children's study corners, so the teachers had to clean each pot individually and remove the mud from the pots to help the plants thrive.

The toys in the playground area were cleaned and returned to their original places.

The toys in the classroom are carefully cleaned and aired out.

The students' lockers were thoroughly cleaned.
