In the 2022-2023 school year, Nam Cuong Secondary School has 16 classes with 642 students. Implementing the emulation movement "Teach well - Learn well", the school's staff, teachers and students are always united, constantly studying, being creative, and determined to improve the quality of education. One of the "secrets" to the school's success is focusing on building a team of "both red and professional" staff and teachers, which is an important factor in determining the improvement of the quality of mass education and key education. Accordingly, right from the beginning of the new school year, the school launched the "two good" emulation movement associated with "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style", the "Friendly school, active students" movement, the "Each teacher is an example of morality, self-study and creativity" campaign... The school directed teachers to actively innovate teaching methods, innovate assessment and evaluation, increase class observation, demonstration teaching, implement thematic topics, apply innovative experiences to suit teaching practice, actively apply information technology and participate in professional activities in clusters of schools, exchange experiences together, contributing positively to improving teaching quality. Along with that, the school's teaching staff focuses on training students in self-study methods, self-study of textbooks to receive and apply new knowledge through solving learning tasks set in lessons; Teachers also spend a lot of time in class for students to practice, practice, and apply the knowledge they have learned with the aim of arousing students' spirit of competition to study well; organizing classes, exploiting and using teaching aids and equipment creatively and effectively. Currently, the school has a total of 38 cadres, teachers, and employees, of which 98% of teachers have qualifications that meet or exceed the prescribed training standards and are classified as good or better. Most teachers are dedicated and devoted to their students. The number of teachers participating in the district and provincial excellent teacher competitions each year is always higher than the previous year. The quality of comprehensive education is focused on and is constantly being improved. Regarding the training of excellent students, the school's Board of Directors has assigned teachers with sufficient capacity and qualifications, selected and divided the team, built training topics, and participated in all subjects... With active solutions to attach responsibility to staff and teachers, the quality of the school's key education is increasingly improved. In the 2021-2022 school year, in the provincial excellent student competition in cultural subjects for grades 8 and 9, the school had 5/7 students participating and winning prizes; including 1 Second Prize, 3 Third Prizes and 1 Encouragement Prize and is the school with the most students winning provincial prizes out of 20 schools in the district. At the same time, the school has 105 students recognized as excellent students at the district level; in which grades 8 and 9 both ranked first out of 20 schools in the district. The results of the entrance exam to grade 10 of high school remained one of the top schools in the district. In the 2022-2023 school year, in the excellent student competition in cultural subjects, sports, English speaking, science and technology innovation and STEM at the district and provincial levels, the school had 115 students recognized as excellent students at the district and provincial levels; including 1 second prize, 4 third prizes at the provincial level; 3 first prizes, 7 second prizes, 29 third prizes and 71 encouragement prizes at the district level; grade 9 continued to lead the whole district.
Along with improving the quality of cultural learning, Nam Cuong Secondary School also actively promotes life skills education and builds a culture of behavior in schools. Right from the beginning of the school year, the head of the Youth Union has deployed an action plan to all homeroom teachers, teachers of civic education and teams to contribute ideas to develop plans as well as moral and lifestyle education for students. The school maintains the self-management of the Red Star Team, flag-raising ceremonies at the beginning of the week, collective activities, moral education, setting an example of good people and good deeds... Teachers are always close to and caring for students, thereby promptly grasping their thoughts and aspirations, helping them solve difficulties in their studies as well as in their lives. In addition, the school also regularly organizes for students to participate in experiential activities, life skills education and closely coordinates with the Parents' Association in management and education. From 2016 to now, with the attention of authorities at all levels and the Parents' Association, the school has started to build 8 classrooms, worth nearly 4 billion VND. Up to now, the school has a total of 24 classrooms, including 5 subject classrooms and auxiliary works.
