'Truong Twins' shares about future goals, returning to Vietnam to fulfill promise to fans

"Truong Twins" interacted with fans of the Vietnamese women's basketball team on the afternoon of July 9.

After winning the 3x3 basketball gold medal at the 32nd SEA Games, the Truong sisters quickly returned to their families instead of returning to Vietnam with the team due to the death of a relative.

At that time, the two brightest stars of the Vietnamese women's basketball team after the 30th and 31st SEA Games promised to return to Vietnam with their fans. Less than 2 months later, the two overseas Vietnamese stars fulfilled their promise and attended a fan meeting in the first round of the 2nd round of VBA 2023.

In this event, Vietnamese basketball fans were present at the home court of Saigon Heat with the number of 1,000 people according to the organizers.

According to the "Truong Twins" sharing with fans, this duo still hinted at joining the women's basketball team at the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand in 2025 when saying "Please wait and see".

In addition, Truong Thao Vy and Truong Thao My also shared about their future goals when asked about the profession they are studying in the US.

"Currently studying psychology. In the future, Vy wants to learn more about sports therapy, building plans for athletes" - Thao Vy said.

Immediately after that, Thao My continued: "My studies psychology and wants to study sports psychology in the future. The two sisters are currently involved in basketball. Vy and My clearly understand the importance of a healthy mindset, providing a healthy body for athletes to compete at their best."

In addition to the Q&A session with fans, the "Truong Twins" also participated in games and had an early birthday party prepared by the organizers and fans present at the stadium. At the end of the program, Thao Vy and Thao My stayed behind and shook hands with everyone present at the stadium at the exit gate.

In addition to appearing in the first home match of Saigon Heat, the fanpages of two other teams, Danang Dragon and Hanoi Buffaloes, also announced that there will be an exchange session of "Truong Twins" with fans. The pair of sisters who helped the Vietnamese team win the silver medal at SEA Games 31 and the gold medal at SEA Games 32 will have an exchange session with fans in the North and Central before the home matches of these two teams.

The remaining two exchanges will take place on July 11 ( Hanoi ) and July 14 (Da Nang).

Also on the evening of July 9, Saigon Heat hosted Hanoi Buffaloes and suffered their first loss after 7 rounds.
