For four consecutive years, students have won awards.

In 2022, after graduating from the Chemistry Education program at Quy Nhon University, Mr. Bao began working at Nguyen Van Linh Secondary School (Vinh Hai commune). From February 2025 to the present, he has been teaching at Doan Thi Diem Secondary School. Regardless of the school, he has always been dedicated to inspiring and igniting a passion for scientific and technological research in his students, guiding many generations of students to achieve outstanding results in the provincial-level Science and Technology Competition for secondary school students organized by the Department of Education and Training. Notably, in the 2022-2023 school year, Mr. Bao guided his students in the project "Automatic Hazard Warning Lights on Winding and Steep Roads," winning second prize. In the 2023-2024 school year, he and his students upgraded the aforementioned project into the "Automatic Hazard Warning System on Winding and Steep Roads" with many improved features, winning third prize. In the 2024-2025 academic year, the innovative spirit was further affirmed with a fourth-place award from the project "Early Warning Device for Natural Disaster Risks in Hilly Areas".

In particular, during the 2025-2026 school year, Mr. Bao received a "double" of joy when two projects – "Mechatronic System to Support the Assessment of Traffic Infrastructure Quality and Vehicle Incident Warning" and "Active Distance Warning Device for Cars" – by students under his supervision won fourth prize at the provincial level in the Science and Technology Innovation Competition for High School Students and third prize at the 11th Provincial Youth and Children's Innovation Competition. Mr. Bao shared: "Throughout the past four school years, I have participated in the Science and Technology Competition with my students with a series of projects on traffic safety and disaster warning, which have been innovated and upgraded technologically each year. This journey not only contributes to fostering a passion for scientific research, creativity, and social responsibility in students, but also affirms the value of science in serving life, aiming to build a safe and sustainable community."

In addition to traffic safety and disaster warning, Mr. Bao also guides students in creating many products that serve daily life and protect the environment. For example, in the 2023-2024 school year, he guided students in implementing the "Automatic Home Vinegar Fermentation Bin" project, which won an encouragement award at the Provincial Youth and Children's Innovation Competition. In the 2025-2026 school year, he guided students in designing a " Digitally Integrated Waste Sorting Bin" model, which advanced to the semi-finals of the 1st Khanh Hoa Provincial Digital Competency Competition for Students in 2026.

A role model of innovation

Beyond being a passionate teacher, Mr. Bao actively explores, researches, and innovates teaching methods to promote digital transformation in education and develop students' competencies. With a focus on establishing modern educational models, particularly STEM and STEAM, as solid theoretical frameworks that can be effectively applied to practical teaching, from 2023 to the present, Mr. Bao and his colleagues have published seven scientific papers in national journals and conferences. He also participated in and won two awards at the 11th Khanh Hoa Provincial Technical Innovation Competition: a third prize for the project "Research on the process of manufacturing green cellulose aerogel material from sugarcane bagasse waste, applied to wastewater treatment and oil spill response" and an honorable mention for the project "Research and fabrication of a multi-functional mechanical stirring machine to support students in experiments and scientific research". Previously, he also participated in and won first prize in the 2024 Digital Transformation Technology Application Innovation Competition to Ensure Traffic Safety and Order, organized by the Provincial Youth Union, with his solution "Warning lights in areas with obstructed visibility".

To enhance his professional skills and teaching quality, Mr. Bao completed his Master's program in Theory and Methods of Teaching Chemistry at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education in 2026. In his teaching, he focuses on innovating teaching methods and assessment techniques to develop students' qualities and competencies; actively integrating education for sustainable development and orienting chemistry teaching in the era of green transition. He also transforms science and technology projects into engaging, application-rich STEAM lessons, thereby helping students acquire knowledge, develop critical thinking, technological skills, and a sense of responsibility towards the community.

“For me, each lesson in the classroom is not simply about imparting knowledge, but also a ‘laboratory of ideas’ – where students are encouraged to ask questions, explore, and find their own solutions. In the future, I will continue to accompany students in participating in science and technology competitions with projects that have high applicability and are linked to local realities. I am also actively improving my professional skills, promoting in-depth research on innovative teaching methods and digital transformation in education, thereby improving the quality of teaching and developing students’ abilities,” Mr. Bao shared.
