Let's work together to keep Binh Son - Ninh Chu beach clean.

The Bình Sơn - Ninh Chử beach area is frequently littered with various types of waste, putting pressure on local authorities to collect, process, and restore the natural beauty of the coastal region.

Concerns about trash encroachment.

Binh Son - Ninh Chu beach (located in Ninh Chu and Dong Hai wards) is famous for its fine white sand, clear blue water, and a long, arc-shaped coastline stretching over 10km. Recently, many locals and tourists have expressed concern about the impact on the landscape and environment of the area due to the accumulation of trash on the beach, mainly washed ashore from the sea.

According to our research, whenever a large amount of marine debris (mostly seaweed and plastic waste) washes ashore on the beach, local authorities, organizations, and armed forces stationed in Dong Hai and Ninh Chu wards mobilize to clean it up. Responding to these activities, many residents, tourists, and students also participate in collecting trash, contributing to spreading environmental awareness in the community.

Although cleanup campaigns have significantly improved the coastal waste situation, it has not been completely resolved. Waste continues to generate from various sources, primarily marine debris, especially near Dam Nai Lagoon and the estuary, which is carried ashore by currents into Binh Son - Ninh Chu beach. Furthermore, some residents, businesses, and tourists still do not strictly adhere to environmental protection regulations, littering in inappropriate places, which also negatively impacts the aesthetics of Binh Son - Ninh Chu beach.

Many residents have petitioned the local authorities to implement more effective solutions for collecting and processing waste in the beach area; to increase penalties for littering; and to promote public awareness campaigns to encourage community participation in protecting the Bình Sơn - Ninh Chử beach, keeping it clean and beautiful, thereby contributing to environmental protection and sustainable beach tourism development.

We need to work together.

To address the problem of beach litter, the authorities of Dong Hai and Ninh Chu wards have been focusing on environmental protection with many comprehensive solutions. Local authorities have increased daily garbage collection; installed more public trash cans; organized beach cleanup campaigns; promoted public awareness campaigns and dealt with violations of environmental hygiene regulations; and increased the use of surveillance cameras to promptly detect and handle cases of littering and illegal street vending.

Mr. Hue Tan Kha, Head of the Economic , Infrastructure and Urban Planning Department of Dong Hai Ward, said that protecting the marine environment continues to be identified as a regular task by the locality, linked to the goal of sustainable tourism development and building a green, clean, and beautiful urban landscape. Dong Hai Ward is determined to handle cases of beach encroachment and illegal waste discharge that cause environmental pollution and detract from urban aesthetics. At the same time, investing in and expanding the public address system, applying information technology, and installing large-scale security cameras will contribute to improving the effectiveness of public awareness campaigns and creating a legal basis for handling violations related to environmental sanitation and street vending.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Vinh, Head of the Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Planning Department of Ninh Chu Ward, also stated that the locality is implementing many solutions to improve the effectiveness of marine environmental protection. The Ward People's Committee directs the Center for Public Service and Activities to coordinate with public utility service units to strengthen the collection of household waste and coastal waste; the Ward Youth Union maintains the "Green Saturday" activity, organizing waste collection at the source according to the tide to maintain a clean and beautiful landscape for the Binh Son - Ninh Chu coastal area.

On March 4, 2026, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 384 approving the General Planning for the construction of the Ninh Chu National Tourist Area in Khanh Hoa province until 2045; in which the Binh Son - Ninh Chu beach area is identified as a key tourism center. Therefore, working together to protect the environment and keep the beaches clean is not only the responsibility of the government, but also requires the cooperation of local people and tourists to build an image of a civilized and friendly destination.
