On the morning of June 1st, observations at many gas stations in Hanoi showed that the transition to selling biofuels had been implemented synchronously. At many sales points, traditional mineral gasoline was no longer displayed on the price lists, replaced instead by E5 RON92 gasoline, E10 gasoline, and diesel fuel (DO).

At the Petrolimex gas station on Tran Hung Dao Street, the E10 fuel pumps are operating smoothly, attracting the attention of many customers. It is known that the station switched to selling E10 bioethanol fuel on May 29th.

According to the store representative, selling E10 early allows people time to familiarize themselves with the new fuel before its widespread adoption in the market.

"Initially, many customers did quite a bit of research on the fuel composition and vehicle compatibility. However, after receiving advice, most customers were willing to try it. We have observed an increasing number of customers choosing E10 gasoline," a store representative shared.

Based on observations, consumer sentiment is quite positive regarding this change.

Many gas stations have posted notices about switching to selling E10 gasoline several days ago.

As of June 1st, most gas stations in Hanoi have switched to selling E5 and E10 gasoline.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, a customer in Cau Giay ward, said: “I have tried E10 gasoline a few times recently. The car runs normally, with no significant difference. If this is a more environmentally friendly fuel, I am willing to continue using it.”

At PV Oil's Nghia Do gas station on Hoang Quoc Viet Street, the E10 fuel pumps are operating smoothly, attracting the attention of many customers.

This is one of the first stores selected to pilot the sale of E10 gasoline in Hanoi.

Mr. Thanh Minh, an office worker in Yen Hoa ward, also believes that switching to biofuels is an inevitable trend.

According to energy experts, E10 gasoline is a blend of 10% biofuel ethanol and 90% mineral gasoline, which helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions, increase combustion efficiency, and contribute to achieving green development goals.

The proactive implementation of E10 fuel sales by gas stations in Hanoi not only helps the market adapt to the biofuel transition but also contributes to promoting green consumption trends in the community. From the E10 signs on the pumps today, the transition to environmentally friendly energy sources is gradually becoming a reality in the daily lives of Hanoi residents.
