The Southern Hydrometeorological Station said that due to the influence of the tropical convergence zone connected to the circulation of storm No. 5, the southwest monsoon in the South is gradually increasing in intensity.

Weather in the South is cloudy to cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms in many places in the afternoon, evening and night, with some places having moderate to heavy rain. During thunderstorms, beware of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

During the three days from August 24 to 26, the tropical convergence zone with its axis across the Central region gradually lifted northwards. Storm No. 5 moved in a northwest direction, towards the mainland of the Northern and Central Central provinces.

Due to the influence of distant storms, the southwest monsoon is gradually becoming stronger, with strong intensity from August 24 to 25.
