In just a few hours, 778 households with 1,531 people were urgently evacuated to safety, avoiding damage from the unpredictable impact of storm No. 5.
In Kim Ngan commune, Lang Ho Border Post coordinated with local authorities to evacuate 30 households/114 people to the headquarters of the Commune Military Command and the 79th National Defense Economic Group. In Dan Hoa commune, Ra Mai Border Post brought 27 households/111 people to safety, and reinforced and secured the houses of 21 remaining households. Ca Xeng Border Post quickly evacuated 9 households/22 people of the Ruc ethnic group to the On village Cultural House, Kim Phu commune.

On the border, Cha Lo Border Post organized the relocation of 30 households from Cha Lo village to the warehouse area of Duc Toan Company Limited. In the coastal area, Cua Tung Border Post moved 100 households/500 people in Liem Cong Phuong village (Cua Tung commune) to the Hien Luong Bridge relic site. Hai An Border Post arranged 29 households/66 people to join neighboring solid households, while Huong Phung Border Post relocated 9 households/41 people out of the danger zone.

At noon on August 25, SGGP reporters were present at Hon La, Phu Trach commune. It was raining heavily, and the boat had moved to a safe beach. The entire Phu Trach commune was under curfew, and people were advised not to leave their homes.
