Obey the law to make the World Cup a joyful season.

I'm bringing this up because there are only 10 days left until the FIFA World Cup 2026, with 104 matches spanning over a month. As usual, before each football season, especially in world football, many people jokingly say: "It's 'the season of departures' again." Just a few short words, but they contain so much haunting anxiety.

Haunted by the fact that people who gamble on football lose their homes, cars, and become homeless. Haunted by the names that appear in news reports of people jumping off bridges or buildings...

This has been clearly demonstrated over many past football seasons. Even before the season ends, some gamblers have been permanently removed from their homes, while others have had to flee from their creditors. Violence linked to debt collection is increasing, complicating social issues.

As usual, before each football season, many betting websites and gambling rings openly offer their services. Although many illegal football betting websites, such as Xoi Lac TV and Bun Cha TV, have recently been shut down by the police, many others still exist. We can easily find invitations to participate in betting on unofficial websites and social media. Some sites are very cleverly disguised, starting with stimulating curiosity and intrigue, then luring and enticing those who approach them.

Getting involved in football betting is easy, but getting out of it is not. Many players have learned bitter lessons. Along with that, numerous social consequences and family tragedies have stemmed from football betting. Therefore, football fans should enjoy the king of sports with genuine love, rational thinking, self-control, and adherence to the law, so that the haunting events after each football season do not repeat themselves, especially in the upcoming matches of the FIFA World Cup 2026.
