Miss Thuy Tien's title of 'Outstanding Young Vietnamese Face' was revoked

Thuy Tien was stripped of her title for violating the law to the point of being prosecuted.

This is the noble title of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (Central Committee) for Thuy Tien. She received this title in March 2023, the award recognizing Thuy Tien's great contributions and inspiration to young people after being crowned Miss Grand International 2021.

However, on May 19, Thuy Tien was prosecuted and temporarily detained by the authorities on charges of "deceiving customers" under Clause 2, Article 198 of the Penal Code. Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien was determined by the authorities to have falsely advertised Kera vegetable candy.

Thuy Tien was also determined to contribute shares and share profits at a rate of 30% at Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company.

According to the Central Secretariat of the Youth Union, based on Article 9 of the regulations of the "Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces" award, in case the award recipient commits serious violations within 5 years of receiving the award, the Standing Committee of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund will propose that the Central Secretariat of the Youth Union issue a decision to revoke the title.

Therefore, the Central Secretariat of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union decided to strip Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien of the title "Outstanding Young Vietnamese Face" in 2021 due to violations that led to prosecution.

Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien is the first Vietnamese to win the Miss Grand International crown at the Miss Grand International 2021 contest held in Thailand.

In addition, Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien is also an inspirational example for young people because of her education and journey of overcoming difficulties in life. She is fluent in English, French and can communicate in Thai.

Thuy Tien lives independently, doing many jobs such as receptionist, foreign language teaching assistant to earn a living and go to school.

After being crowned Miss Grand International 2021, Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien continued to make many charitable contributions, inspiring young people. In April 2024, Thuy Tien was honored to become a representative of Vietnamese youth to speak at the dialogue program between the ASEAN Secretary General and ASEAN youth.

At the end of 2024, Thuy Tien, Quang Linh Vlogs, and Hang Du Muc advertised Kera vegetable candy on social networks. During product advertising livestreams, Thuy Tien and KOLs advertised products rich in fiber, which can replace green vegetables in daily meals.

However, test results showed that each candy only contained about 0.016g of fiber, much lower than advertised information.

After being reported, Thuy Tien deleted the related posts and posted an apology, admitting her mistake in not checking the product carefully before promoting it. She denied any involvement with Chi Em Rot Joint Stock Company and said that she only cooperated in promoting the product.

Authorities have identified Thuy Tien as a shareholder, sharing the profits at a rate of 30%. Other shareholders share a total of 70%. Investigation results also determined that Thuy Tien received nearly 7 billion VND in commission from selling Kera vegetable candy.
