During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh affirmed: "Youth are the pillars of the nation, the future masters of the country, and the vanguard force in building and defending the Fatherland." Bearing in mind his teachings, the youth of Vietnam have strived to study, train, and work creatively, contributing to society through practical movements and actions that have a widespread impact and inspire the community.
The project to digitize the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site in Yen Kien commune was carried out by the Doan Hung District Youth Union in collaboration with the District Women's Union.
In implementing Directive 05-CT/TW of the Politburo "On promoting the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style," the Youth Union branches at all levels in the province have effectively implemented many practical and meaningful youth projects and activities. This has created positive changes in the awareness and actions of each Youth Union member, affirming the pioneering role of young people in the socio-economic development of the locality.
For many years, Comrade Nguyen Thanh Tuan, Secretary of the Youth Union of Bang Gia Commune, Ha Hoa District, has been known as an exemplary figure in studying and following the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh. With his youthful energy and pioneering spirit, he, along with the Executive Committee of the Commune Youth Union, has effectively implemented volunteer movements launched by the higher-level Youth Union with practical projects and activities aimed at improving community life, such as: mobilizing resources to provide thousands of gifts to poor households, families with preferential policies, and students in difficult circumstances during holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year); building youth projects: legal libraries, youth football fields, and recreational areas for children and teenagers... These movements have attracted a large number of Youth Union members and have been recognized by the Party Committee, the government, and the people.
For his achievements, Comrade Nguyen Thanh Tuan was awarded a Certificate of Commendation by the Ha Hoa District Party Committee for his outstanding performance in studying and following the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh, during the period 2021-2023.
Recognizing that studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's teachings is a central focus in the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement, the Provincial Youth Union has directed 100% of its subordinate branches to implement specialized study sessions for Youth Union officials and members. It has intensified propaganda, education , and guidance on studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style through various rich and diverse forms; identifying, introducing, and commending advanced models in all fields... creating a ripple effect and attracting the attention of officials, Youth Union members, and the people to learn and research Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style.
Remembering President Ho Chi Minh's teaching, "Wherever there is a need, the youth will be there; wherever there is difficulty, the youth will overcome it," the youth of the Fatherland have launched many vibrant and practical emulation movements. In the first six months of 2024, the youth throughout the province implemented 604 youth projects and activities. These included 7 projects at the provincial level; 43 projects at the district level; and 554 projects at the grassroots level, attracting over 27,000 young people to participate.
Social welfare activities were implemented regularly, with a peak focus on the "Winter Volunteer Campaign 2023 and Spring Volunteer Campaign 2024," Youth Month, and the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign. The entire province organized 12 free medical examination and treatment sessions, providing free medicine to 3,887 people with a total value of over 500 million VND; and donated over 6,000 gifts including warm blankets, clothes, essential goods, and teaching equipment worth over 2 billion VND to beneficiaries such as policy beneficiary families, poor households, and students in difficult circumstances. Youth union members throughout the province donated 1,617 units of blood in voluntary blood donation programs; and carried out hundreds of clean-up campaigns to sanitize village roads and alleys, and clear drainage ditches.
Comrade Bui Duc Giang, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, stated: Studying and following the thoughts, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh has profoundly transformed the awareness and moral training of each cadre and Youth Union member, reflected in their specific work and actions. In the coming time, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union will continue to direct all levels of the Youth Union in the province to intensify the study and emulation of Uncle Ho, thereby contributing to building a model of youth in the new era with noble ideals, rich patriotism, self-reliance, and aspirations to build a more prosperous and beautiful homeland.
