Promoting the pioneering and creative role, the youth of Dam Ha district have had many models and solutions to support people in applying digital technology, contributing to promoting digital transformation in all fields, creating momentum for local socio -economic development.
With the active support of the Commune Youth Union, Mr. Dinh Quoc Tuan (Dai Binh Commune) has become proficient in using social networks to search for and connect consumption markets for the star goose product - the local OCOP key product; and has been supported in bringing the product to e-commerce platforms to expand the consumption market. "I was guided by the Dai Binh Commune Youth Union to bring the star goose product to e-commerce platforms postmart.vn and voso.vn; set up a fanpage to reach a larger number of customers, and the product reached out to markets outside the province" - Mr. Tuan shared.
With the support of the district's youth union and specialized departments, Dam Ha has put 10/13 OCOP products of the district on the e-commerce trading floors postmart.vn and voso.vn.
With the goal of taking people and businesses as the center, subject and driving force of digital transformation, together with units in the district, the District Youth Union has promoted propaganda, guidance and bringing digital skills to people and businesses. Accordingly, 210 youth union members from grassroots unions participated in 70 community digital technology groups in communes and towns, went to cultural houses and people's houses to guide, propagate, how to create electronic addresses, use online public services, use digital services and interact with the government through digital platforms.
Ms. Trieu Khanh Ly, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of Dam Ha town, said: Currently, there are 10 community digital technology groups in the area. The groups have "gone to every alley, knocked on every door" to guide each resident. After a period of propaganda, households have understood the meaning, importance and benefits of digital transformation.
The District Youth Union maintains a youth union member on duty every day at the modern reception and result delivery department at the commune level during office hours to propagate and guide online public services to the people. In 2022, the Union supported people to complete 5,216 records at the modern one-stop department of communes and towns; 240 records at the District Public Administration Center; in the first quarter of 2023, it supported the settlement of over 3,000 records.
Along with instructions to support people in submitting procedures via online public services, the District Youth Union coordinated with the District Police and community digital technology teams to step up instructions for people to install the VNeID application, activate electronic identification accounts... Currently, it has supported the installation and activation of level II electronic identification for more than 2,080 accounts, 2,500 electronic health books; registered to open electronic payment accounts for 75 business households.
In order to help people and tourists more easily access and learn about historical sites, the District Youth Union has actively digitized red addresses, historical and cultural sites. Up to now, the Youth Union at all levels has installed QR code scanning boards at 9 historical sites and tourist attractions in the area to promote and propagate local culture and tourism.
Secretary of the District Youth Union Nguyen Quyet Thang said: In the coming time, the Youth Union will continue to strengthen propaganda and dissemination of knowledge to young union members and people about digital transformation and the benefits of digital transformation; open training courses for cadres and young union members on digital transformation. Youth Unions at all levels coordinate to deploy the community digital technology team model in each neighborhood, village, and hamlet with young union members as the core force, actively propagating, supporting, and guiding people to proficiently use digital platforms and digital applications, contributing to the completion of the district's comprehensive digital transformation goals.
