In response to digital transformation, the Youth Union of Van Hung commune is promoting the pioneering role of young people through practical actions. Not only does this attract a large number of union members and young people to participate, but it also contributes to promoting the image of the homeland, connecting the community, and spreading local cultural values.

Each member of the youth union is a "digital guide".

The Van Hung Commune Youth Union recently launched the "I Love Van Hung" contest, linked to the creation of a "Van Hung Digital Map," running from May 5th to 31st. Attending a weekend meeting of the Xuan Trang village Youth Union, we felt the enthusiastic atmosphere among the young people participating in the contest. Many members arrived early, bringing their smartphones to begin the competition. After receiving guidance from the Commune Youth Union Executive Committee on how to collect information, take photos, locate places, and update data on the digital platform, the members quickly divided into groups and moved to various roads, residential areas, cultural centers, and community gathering points to carry out their tasks.

Following a group of youth union members, we arrived at the Xuan Son Primary and Secondary School area. There, the members quickly recorded locations, photographed the grounds, and updated information about regular activities taking place at this location. Another group moved to Ngoc Thap Pagoda to film the landscape and update data on its location, establishment date, etc. Despite the heat, the youth union members showed a sense of responsibility and enthusiasm. Many proactively assisted each other using their phones, searching for key locations to update the most accurate information. The atmosphere was urgent and enthusiastic, reflecting the pioneering and creative spirit of young people in the digital transformation effort.

Tran Thi My Phuc, a youth union member, shared: “Participating in the competition gave me the opportunity to apply digital technology to introduce the image of my hometown, Van Hung, to more people. This is also an opportunity for young people to contribute to the digital transformation in the locality.” Not only did the competition attract young people, but it also received a positive response from many students in the area. Nguyen Hoang Thao Nguyen, a youth union member from Xuan Son Primary and Secondary School, said: “Participating in the competition helped me understand more about digital transformation and see that students can also contribute to promoting their hometown through practical actions.”

Spreading the spirit of digital transformation

The "I Love Van Hung" contest, linked to the creation of the "Van Hung Digital Map," is one of many practical activities of the Van Hung Commune Youth Union to respond to the digital transformation policy in the area, while also creating a vibrant playground and encouraging union members and young people to promote creativity and apply technology to life. It is known that the "Van Hung Digital Map" is a project implemented by the Van Hung Commune Youth Union since the beginning of 2026. The Youth Union has installed acrylic or artistic wooden boards with QR codes so that residents and tourists can access the "Van Hung Digital Map" to search for local information such as: historical sites, check-in points, typical restaurants, office buildings, schools, etc.

Ms. Dinh Ngoc Bao Tram, Deputy Secretary of the Van Hung Commune Youth Union, said that, promoting the "Creative Youth" movement, the Commune Youth Union has effectively maintained the "Digital Literacy for the People" model, supporting people in accessing online public services, installing and using the VNeID application, cashless payments, and other essential digital platforms. In addition, the branches of the Youth Union have actively applied information technology in propaganda, designing short videos, and creating news articles on social media, contributing to enhancing the effectiveness of youth mobilization and spreading the image of the Youth Union in the new situation. Through these activities and competitions, the Commune Youth Union hopes to continue promoting the pioneering role of young people, creating clear changes in awareness and actions, and contributing to the effective implementation of socio -economic development goals in the locality.

Through smartphones, images of Van Hung are being disseminated in a way that is relatable, creative, and modern. This is also a practical step for the locality to gradually bring digital transformation closer to the lives of its people.
