Attending the Buddha's Birthday celebration were comrades: Pham Thi Phuc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; Nguyen Ngoc Phuc, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with leaders of various departments and agencies.
At the ceremony, Venerable Thich Giac Canh, a member of the Central Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, read the Buddha's Birthday Message from the Supreme Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.
In his message, the Supreme Patriarch emphasized that the significance of the Buddha's Birthday celebration is not only to commemorate the birth of Shakyamuni Buddha, but also to allow each Buddhist to reflect on and gain a deeper understanding of the Buddha's teachings of compassion, wisdom, and engagement with the world.

The message also addresses the context of a world undergoing many changes, profoundly affecting people's lives globally. In this context, the Buddha's teachings on compassion, wisdom, and the principle of dependent origination continue to be seen as a foundation for building peace, strengthening unity, and moving towards sustainable development.

The speech emphasized that 2026 is a special milestone as the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha celebrates its 45th anniversary, while also preparing to organize Buddhist congresses at all levels, leading up to the 10th National Buddhist Congress to be held in Ho Chi Minh City.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Ngoc Phuc extended his congratulations to all monks, nuns, lay Buddhists, and followers inside and outside the province on the occasion of the Buddha's Birthday, Buddhist calendar 2570.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that the Buddha's Birthday celebration is not only a major Buddhist holiday but also an opportunity to spread profound humanistic values such as compassion, harmony, altruism, and love of peace. The leaders of Lam Dong province assessed that in the past period, the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Lam Dong province, along with monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers, have actively participated in patriotic emulation movements, social welfare activities, caring for the poor, and supporting people facing difficulties due to natural disasters and epidemics. At the same time, they have encouraged people to live virtuous lives, uphold moral values, and abide by the policies of the Party and the laws of the State.
