(Baoquangngai.vn) - On the morning of June 20, at the National Monument of Tran Quoc Cong Bui Ta Han's Tomb and Temple, the Provincial Bui Ethnic Council held a ceremony to commemorate the 456th death anniversary of Tran Quoc Cong Bui Ta Han (1568 - 2024).
Attending the ceremony were Party Central Committee member, Provincial Party Secretary, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Bui Thi Quynh Van; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Vo Thanh An; and the presence of many descendants of the Bui family across the country.

Tran Quoc Cong Bui Ta Han, from Chau Hoan (Nghe An), was born in the year of Binh Thin (1496). After Mac Dang Dung usurped the throne of the Le dynasty (1527), Bui Ta Han followed Nguyen Kim's "support Le, destroy Mac" flag and made many achievements. In 1545, he was appointed by King Le Trang Tong as the Northern Army Admiral to lead troops to pacify the Mac dynasty's army and pacify the border region of Quang Nam (the land from Da Nang to Phu Yen today). He was then promoted to the position of Northern Army Admiral, Chief of the Palace, and given the title of Thieu Bao Tran Quan Cong.

After being appointed as the governor of Thua Tuyen Quang Nam, he paid special attention to protecting the peace of this land with a "people's peace policy", with the idea of national harmony and solidarity between the Vietnamese and the Champa, between the Kinh and the Thuong. On the other hand, he built forts (forts) to maintain order and security in the region. From a land of constant turmoil, when Tran Quoc Cong Bui Ta Han established the government and implemented policies that pleased the people, Quang became a land of peace , harmony and prosperity.
The title "Tran Quoc Cong" honoring Bui Ta Han expressed not only the recognition of the royal court, but also the admiration and love of the people of Quang and the entire South Central region today for him.

With his great achievements, after Tran Quoc Cong Bui Ta Han passed away (in 1568), the later feudal dynasties honored him, bestowed many royal decrees on him so that people could worship, commemorate and remember his achievements. The tomb and temple of Tran Quoc Cong Bui Ta Han in Quang Phu ward ( Quang Ngai city) were ranked as a national historical and cultural relic by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 1990.

At the ceremony, representatives of the descendants of the Bui clan presented 4 copies of 4 royal decrees related to Tran Quoc Cong Bui Ta Han to the Provincial Museum for preservation and display.
