Mr. Phan Van Hien - Director of Tuy Phong District Social Insurance shared: In the past time, cadres in villages and neighborhoods have actively promoted policies on social insurance and health insurance to people, especially the health insurance card value will increase on July 1, 2023 when the Government adjusts the basic salary increase. People who do not participate in health insurance, if unfortunately they get sick, will have to spend a lot of money on treatment, sometimes up to hundreds of millions of VND, while the amount spent to buy health insurance is only a few hundred thousand VND. Despite many efforts, currently, the work of mobilizing people to participate in voluntary social insurance and family health insurance in the locality still faces certain difficulties.
To achieve the health insurance coverage rate of 89.67% of the district's population in 2023 is not easy, requiring departments, associations and local authorities at all levels to actively implement many synchronous solutions to achieve the targets and aim for the goal of social insurance and health insurance for all people. In that situation, to achieve the targets assigned by the district, the district social insurance agency is coordinating with the district post office , the People's Committees of communes and towns to implement many measures. That is to promote propaganda work, especially establishing a propaganda team to each household. During this time, the commune and town authorities assign specific targets to each village, neighborhood, and association to launch propaganda campaigns for people to participate in voluntary social insurance and family health insurance.
Ms. Do Thi Ha - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Chi Cong Commune, Tuy Phong District added: Right from the beginning of the year, the locality has developed a plan to mobilize voluntary social insurance and family health insurance and assigned specific tasks to each member of the Steering Committee for Social Insurance and Health Insurance of the commune. Along with that, we focus on propaganda, mobilization, and organizing direct dialogues with the people. To effectively propagate and mobilize the people, we will closely follow the subjects and directly propagate to the people, clearly stating the benefits they enjoy when participating in the insurance policy. At the same time, the locality also launched an emulation movement, creating motivation for everyone to strive to achieve this target.
Along with propaganda work, one of the solutions to attract people to participate in health insurance that Tuy Phong district focuses on is improving the quality of health insurance examination and treatment. In recent times, the district Social Insurance has coordinated well with the district health sector to focus on improving the quality of health services, strictly implementing the code of conduct issued by the Ministry of Health. At the same time, improving the quality of health examination and treatment, increasingly better meeting the needs of people for health insurance examination and treatment.
Along with propaganda and mobilization activities, local authorities have also implemented many solutions to promote the economy and develop people's lives. Ms. Do Thi Ha - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Chi Cong Commune, added: Currently, the Party Committee and the People's Committee of the commune are continuing to strongly mobilize donors and benefactors to pay attention to low-income people so that they have the conditions to participate in voluntary health insurance and social insurance, helping to increase the rate of participation in health insurance and social insurance of Chi Cong Commune in particular and Tuy Phong District in general, towards health insurance and social insurance for all people in the district.
