Player Bui Hoang Viet Anh was hospitalized for emergency treatment.

In the 7th minute of the match between The Cong Viettel and Hanoi Police FC in Round 13 of the V-League 2023-2024, Hanoi Police FC's central defender Bui Hoang Viet Anh collided with a The Cong Viettel player. He suffered bleeding from his mouth and received medical attention.

However, due to the severity of the laceration, Viet Anh was later stretchered off the field so that doctors could bandage it. He continued to play, but due to the intense pain and dizziness from blood loss, he was forced to leave the field and be taken to the hospital in an ambulance for emergency treatment.

Compared to Tuan Hai, Bui Hoang Viet Anh's injury is not as serious, but he still needs a week to heal and will require 24 stitches. This also means the Hanoi Police central defender may miss the two upcoming matches for the Vietnamese national team against Indonesia in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Previously, striker Tuan Hai suffered a serious injury when Quang Nam player Tang Tien kicked him directly in the shin with the sole of his shoe. To get the most accurate assessment of the injury's severity, Pham Tuan Hai underwent another comprehensive examination on the morning of March 9th.

Accordingly, the 26-year-old striker suffered an injury to his right ankle joint and needs at least a month of rest before he can return to playing. This is not only a major loss for the capital city team on their journey back into the championship race, but also for the Vietnamese national team.
