The billionaire owner of Twitter said in a separate tweet that inactive accounts would be deleted or revoked, but did not give any further details about when the process would begin.

Mr Musk also said users on the platform may see a drop in follower counts as some inactive accounts may be deleted.
According to Twitter policy, users should log in to their account at least once every 30 days to avoid permanent deletion.
Earlier this month, Musk "threatened" to take over NPR's Twitter account and give it to someone else, after the US public radio and television station stopped posting content in protest of Twitter labeling its content as being tampered with by the US government.
Last month, Twitter removed the blue tick from the accounts of thousands of people, including celebrities, journalists and politicians – who refused to pay under the service's new policy.
