USD exchange rate developments today, July 7, 2025 on the world market
In the US market, the DXY index is currently at 96.96 points.
The DXY index fell 0.23% last week, trading between 96.38 and 97.02, marking its second consecutive weekly decline. The main reason was growing expectations that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) would soon cut interest rates amid rising domestic economic pressures and signs of cooling inflation. The Fed's pivot to a dovish monetary policy has reduced the attractiveness of the USD in the eyes of global investors.
The US dollar has lost more than 10% of its value since the beginning of 2025, and has lost about 10.7% in the past six months. This weakness reflects not only economic factors but also political and market sentiment, making the US dollar the focus of attention for investors and analysts around the world.
The USD is expected to continue to be under downward pressure next week, as the market continues to closely monitor developments related to the Fed's monetary policy, the domestic fiscal situation and international trade tensions.
