In 2024, Phu Ninh district focused on implementing a comprehensive set of programs and solutions to promote sustainable poverty reduction, through addressing employment issues and supporting vocational training for workers.

The program for delivering breeding Sind crossbred heifers under Project 2 of the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction giai đoạn 2021-2025 has yielded positive results.

The District People's Committee has directed relevant units and localities to organize the verification of information collection forms for workers and to survey and forecast the employment and vocational training needs of workers from poor, near-poor, and newly-escaped-poverty households in 17 communes and towns; to survey, review, and disburse funds to eligible individuals and households under the national target program for sustainable poverty reduction.

In 2024, 3.36 billion VND was disbursed; including Project 2: Supporting the breeding of hybrid Sind heifers by community production groups in Phu Loc, Ha Giap, Binh Phu, Phu My, Tien Phu, Tram Than, Phu Nham, and Phu Ninh communes, totaling 2.95 billion VND; Sub-project 3 - Project 4 on Sustainable Employment Support, totaling 191 million VND; Project 7 on Capacity Building and Program Monitoring and Evaluation, totaling 122.5 million VND, etc.

With many solutions actively implemented in 2024, the multidimensional poverty rate of the district decreased to 1.32% (target 1.42%), a decrease of 0.12% compared to 2023; the multidimensional near-poverty rate was 1.29% (target 1.32%), a decrease of 0.05% compared to 2023.
