UAC will unveil its Il-114-300 passenger aircraft at SPIEF.

GD&TĐ - On May 22, TASS reported that United Aviation Corporation (UAC) will unveil the Il-114-300 aircraft at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

This information was revealed by Denis Pogodin, First Deputy Director of the Lukhovitsy Aviation Plant.

Lukhovitsy Aviation Plant is a subsidiary of UAC.

Mr. Pogodin, in charge of the Il-114 program, noted that the national aviation industry has been tasked by the government with ensuring technological sovereignty and producing new domestic aircraft.

“Our flagship project, the Il-114 regional transport aircraft, is a practical step in this direction. We plan to showcase it at SPIEF.”

"We would be very happy if the President could find an opportunity to see it in person," Pogodin told Russian leader Putin at a meeting with graduates of the first course of the Heroic Age program.

The president responded that he would try to find time to see the modernized Il-114-300 passenger aircraft at Pulkovo.

The Deputy Director noted that the Il-114-300 is a cost-effective and reliable aircraft designed to replace the outdated An-24 and An-26 aircraft, as well as the foreign-made ATR 72 and Bombardier aircraft.

According to him, mass production of these aircraft will be organized at the Lukhovitsky Aviation Plant.

Previously, the Il-114-300 aircraft had completed another phase of certification testing in the Arctic.

The Il-114-300 aircraft is being developed in collaboration with state-owned enterprises under the Rostec corporation, under the auspices of Il, a subsidiary of UAC.

This is a modernized version of the Il-114 propeller aircraft.

This year, the 29th SPIEF will take place over four days, from June 3rd to 6th, in Pulkovo, St. Petersburg.
