On May 7, Comrade Le Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to listen to a report on the plan to adjust a number of planning indicators and land use plans allocated to districts and cities.

According to the Plan for implementing the national power planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 and the List of important national programs, works and projects, key to the energy sector that have been approved, there are a number of newly-emerged energy projects that are not included in the district-level Land Use Planning to 2030 and are determined to be implemented in the period 2023-2025 such as: Phuoc Hoa Pumped Storage Hydropower Plant, BIM Wind Power Plant Phase 2 Expansion, 7A Wind Power Plant Phase 2, Tri Hai Wind Power Plant... Therefore, in order to have a basis for implementing the above projects, Ninh Son, Bac Ai, Thuan Nam, Thuan Bac, Ninh Hai districts need to adjust the land use planning to 2030 in 2024; especially Bac Ai district and Ninh Son district need to adjust the land use planning to implement the Phuoc Hoa Pumped Storage Hydropower Project according to regulations. Pursuant to the provisions of the Land Law, the responsibility for implementing the adjustment of district-level land use planning belongs to the district-level People's Committee, so it is recommended that the People's Committees of districts and cities decide and take responsibility for organizing the adjustment of district-level land use planning to 2030 in 2024.

Comrade Le Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to coordinate and support localities in having plans to adjust land use plans of related localities, in order to ensure conditions for land allocation, granting certificates to investors to implement projects, unifying specific plans, avoiding overlaps and multiple adjustments. Localities need to proactively review and have early adjustment plans to promptly implement key projects, while ensuring strictness, compliance with current procedures and regulations and effective use of the province's land resources. The Department of Natural Resources and Environment shall base on regulations, ensure legal conditions to adjust land use plans and plans, meeting investment conditions for developing industries and fields that the province has strengths in, especially energy projects arising on the basis of careful review with localities, ensuring sufficient information and conditions for appropriate adjustments.
