UEH focuses on implementing the "four pillars" to bring the country into a new era

The event affirmed UEH's pioneering role with the "City-University Innovation Hub" model in implementing strategic resolutions on science and technology, international integration, legal innovation and private economic development, contributing to promoting sustainable development and deep integration of the country.

According to the UEH leader, as the country is entering a new development phase with a long-term vision to promote in-depth transformation of the growth model and sustainable development, the Politburo has issued 4 key Resolutions, including:

Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 on breakthroughs in science , technology, innovation and national digital transformation.

Resolution No. 59-NQ/TW dated January 24, 2025 on international integration in the new situation.

Resolution No. 66-NQ/TW dated April 30, 2025 on innovation in law making and enforcement to meet the requirements of national development in the new era.

Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW dated May 4, 2025 on private economic development.

Professor, Dr. Su Dinh Thanh, Director of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, spoke at the program.

“These are breakthrough orientations, establishing the foundation for Vietnam's self-reliant and sustainable development model in the new era,” said Professor, Dr. Su Dinh Thanh, Director of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics.

At the same time, it is believed that, as a multidisciplinary university, oriented towards research, innovation and sustainable development, UEH has proactively designed an Action Program to implement 4 Resolutions, based on the strategic model "City-University Innovation Hub".

Through this, UEH promotes the role of a modern university, the innovation nucleus of the knowledge society, a place to converge, spread, and lead strategic initiatives, playing a central role in implementing national strategies through training, research, and community connection.

The realization of these important Resolutions requires the participation of many subjects, in which universities are the central factor, the place to create knowledge, provide high-quality human resources, connect the state, businesses, organizations, domestic and international communities to promote innovation for sustainable development.

Based on analyzing strategic requirements from the Resolutions and studying successful models of the role of universities in society, UEH chose the "City-University Innovation Hub" model approach and considered this a necessary foundation for universities to successfully implement the above 4 Resolutions.

"UEH City-University Innovation Hub" is a strategic connection and co-creation model initiated by UEH, inspired by global innovation centers such as MIT Solve (USA), TU Delft (Netherlands), Aalto Otaniemi (Finland), combined with Vietnam's practices to develop an open, adaptable, technology-integrated and digitally transformed innovation ecosystem.

This model reaffirms that the modern university must be the innovation nucleus of the knowledge society, a place to converge, spread and lead strategic initiatives, playing a central role in implementing national strategies through training, research and community connection.

Along with the implementation of the 4 Resolutions of the Politburo, through this model, UEH together with the state, enterprises, organizations, and the community will implement specific actions corresponding to 3 pillars, associated with the core competencies of a modern university: Training and developing high-quality human resources; Scientific research and knowledge transfer; Consulting-Development-Linking.

With the orientation of becoming a new generation university according to international standards, integrated in a creative urban space, UEH constantly connects with a network of research institutes, policy centers and universities at home and abroad to spread the model "UEH City-University Innovation Hub".

UEH affirms its pioneering role, demonstrating its true position as a modern university and national knowledge center in effectively implementing the strategic Resolutions of the Politburo.

The program will be implemented from June 2025, bringing together the participation of schools, faculties, research institutes, strong research groups and a network of domestic and foreign experts.
