During her visit to the historical relic and scenic spot of An Phu-Kinh Chu-Nham Duong complex, Ms. Kim Lien ( Hanoi ) was surprised by the presence of a QR code system introducing the project of digitizing a special national relic. Out of curiosity, she tried scanning the code and immediately had access to a rich electronic document repository, likened to a "smart tour guide", providing detailed, easy-to-understand and intuitive information.
The project to digitize the An Phu-Kinh Chu-Nham Duong Special National Monument is a joint product between the Propaganda Department, the Youth Union and the Kinh Mon Town Monument Management Board, completed and put into use from the beginning of 2024.
Sharing her experience, Ms. Kim Lien said: "This is the second time I have returned to visit this relic site, but the feelings between the two times are completely different. Previously, information was mainly conveyed through signs and stone steles, which were quite limited and dry. Now, with just a simple operation of scanning the QR code, I can look up all the information about the history of formation, important milestones, and even valuable images and documents. Thanks to that, the tour not only becomes more vivid but also brings a lot of valuable knowledge."
In addition to serving the needs of tourists, the relic digitization system also serves as a valuable source of information, providing practical support for research, teaching and learning.
Van Thanh (a history student in Hanoi) shared that accessing digital maps of historical sites such as Gao Pagoda and Nham Duong Pagoda has given him a lot of useful knowledge.

"The application is designed very scientifically, easy to use and has a convenient search system. Thanks to that, I can look up more deeply about relics, antiquities and information related to the formation and development process of Nham Duong Pagoda and Gao Pagoda. This is truly a valuable and useful source of documents for history students like us instead of just accessing through books," said Van Thanh.
The project to digitize the An Phu-Kinh Chu-Nham Duong National Special Relic is a joint product between the Propaganda Department, the Youth Union and the Kinh Mon Town Relic Management Board, completed and put into use from the beginning of 2024. This is one of the pioneering models in applying digital technology to the work of preserving, introducing and promoting historical and cultural relics in the locality.
It is known that the project includes 27 QR code signs containing document files with full, rich content, presented visually and easily understood. When visiting, visitors only need to scan the QR code to read bilingual documents in Vietnamese and English. Mr. Nguyen Van Hoc, Head of the Kinh Mon Town Relic Management Board, said that over the years, the Relic Management Board has always actively consulted with leaders at all levels in inspecting, proposing and proactively implementing the conservation and restoration of degraded items. At the same time, the application of digital transformation with QR codes has also been quickly implemented to promote local culture and tourism.
"In addition, propaganda and education of the community, especially the younger generation, about the value of the relics are also carried out. Since 2023, we have coordinated with schools to organize nearly 50 programs with the participation of over 3,000 students. Through that, the QR code has also been introduced, promoted and received positive responses from the younger generation," he said.
In the coming time, the digitalization project of the An Phu-Kinh Chu-Nham Duong Special National Monument will continue to be upgraded with many rich content categories, increasingly better meeting the needs of tourists for research and experience.

In addition to providing still images and text documents, the system is expected to integrate more vivid videos, expand functions, build a tour route connecting the special national relic complex with other destinations in Kinh Mon town, such as traditional craft villages, agricultural production areas, as well as expand inter-regional tourism routes to famous landscapes such as Con Son-Kiep Bac (Chi Linh), Yen Tu, Ngoa Van, Tran Dynasty Tomb Complex (Quang Ninh), Bach Dang Giang (Hai Phong)...
Up to now, Hai Duong province has digitized information of 170 relics in the province. In particular, special national relics such as Con Son-Kiep Bac (Chi Linh city), An Phu-Kinh Chu-Nham Duong complex (Kinh Mon town) are at the forefront of this work.
Previously, to promote digital transformation, application of science, technology, innovation in the fields of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the People's Committee of Hai Duong province has developed and completed the Project on applying information technology to serve the development of smart tourism in Hai Duong province, period 2025-2030. People and tourists only need to use their smartphones to scan the QR code to be able to grasp full detailed information from history, architecture, festivals to beliefs.
It can be affirmed that the continuous efforts of Hai Duong province in general and Kinh Mon town relic management board in particular in the work of preserving and embellishing relics, associated with the application of digital transformation in the fields of culture and tourism have initially brought positive results.
The development and implementation of "digital travel guides" not only contributes to preserving and promoting traditional cultural and historical values, but also creates attraction for domestic and foreign tourists. At the same time, this is also a practical tool in traditional education, fostering patriotism and national pride, especially for the younger generation.
