On January 25th, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam Journalists Association organized a training course on journalism skills, focusing on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and ChatGPT in journalistic work.
At the opening ceremony, journalist Tran Trong Dung, Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association in charge of the South, emphasized the importance of technology and the application of AI and ChatGPT in the work of journalists.
According to journalist Tran Trong Dung, the application of AI and ChatGPT is an inevitable trend that is strongly emerging in all areas of socio -economic life today. The media must proactively innovate its methods of delivery, creating products that offer new experiences to readers through digital technology applications.
The application of AI, especially ChatGPT, is currently presenting both opportunities and challenges, particularly for journalists and managers. Therefore, this course will equip participants with essential knowledge that they can effectively apply in their work.
The course took place over two days (January 25-26), led by journalist Ngo Tran Thinh, Head of the Digital News Content Department - Ho Chi Minh City Television Station, and involved nearly 50 participants, including reporters and editors from 18 media outlets in the Southern region.
Participants will be introduced to the capabilities of AI and its application in published journalistic products. They will also discuss the advantages and disadvantages of AI, thereby creating effective applications of this technology in their work. After grasping the content on AI applications, participants will directly engage in practical exercises using this new technology to produce journalistic products.
