Prioritize using domestic goods

The campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" initiated by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has strongly encouraged and motivated the people to prioritize using Vietnamese products and goods, contributing to building, protecting and developing the domestic market.

Ms. Hoang Thi Luong Tam, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, said: To implement the campaign, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and its member agencies and organizations have stepped up propaganda, with many rich and diverse forms. The functional sectors have developed many solutions to expand the retail network of Vietnamese goods, build a consumer culture of Vietnamese people, cooperate and link regions to connect and consume agricultural products of the province. Many activities to bring Vietnamese goods to rural areas, trade fairs, exhibitions, put agricultural products on e-commerce platforms; open points to introduce and sell agricultural products... have been effectively implemented, contributing to bringing quality goods to consumers, promoting the image, building brands for products of people and businesses in the province.

Since the beginning of the year, Son La province has organized two launching ceremonies to bring strawberries and plums onto Vietnam Airlines flights; organized a Consumption Promotion Week in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, with plums, rice, and many OCOP products typical of communes and wards. Currently, Son La agricultural products are available on the shelves of supermarket chains such as BigC, Saigon Co.op and WinCommerce retail system...

Departments and branches displayed 2 booths at the Quang Ninh OCOP Fair - Spring 2025; 10 safe agricultural product booths at the International Trade Forum in the Rising Era in Moc Chau town (old), with 48 enterprises and cooperatives participating; 13 agricultural product booths at the Conference summarizing 10 years of implementing the policy of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on growing fruit trees on sloping land; organized a livestream to communicate the Plum Picking Festival in Phieng Khoai commune, attracting 20,000 views and 4,400 live viewers.

Departments and branches support enterprises and cooperatives in the province to invest in developing production towards commodities. Up to now, certificates of safe agricultural and aquatic food supply chains have been issued to enterprises and cooperatives, bringing the total number of certified safe supply chains to 266, including vegetables, fruits, coffee, tea, honey, rice, safe pork, chicken, seafood, smoked meat and processed agricultural products. Support the management of export growing area codes, developing the province's agricultural product brands, with 216 codes, over 3,000 hectares.

The work of protecting consumer rights and inspecting, handling and preventing smuggling and trade fraud has been vigorously implemented. The interdisciplinary inspection team of Task Force 1181, which specializes in combating and preventing smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods and infringement of intellectual property rights in the province, has stepped up the fight and launched inspections of goods in communes and wards in the province. Of which, 77 cases were recorded and paid to the state budget over 740 million VND; the value of confiscated goods awaiting processing was over 177 million VND; the value of destroyed goods was over 178 million VND.

In recent years, Vietnamese goods in traditional markets, supermarkets, and grocery stores have improved, diversified, and become more and more competitive in price, attracting a large number of consumers to choose and shop. Ms. Vu Thi Huong, owner of a grocery store at the Central Market, To Hieu Ward, said: Domestically produced goods are delivered free of charge to your door by companies and distributors, so it is very convenient to import goods and sell them at cheaper prices.

Ms. Le Thi Quynh Trang, Director of the Company, said: The Company focuses on investing in machinery to process dried and soft-dried agricultural products to ensure safety and quality; cooperates with a number of enterprises to produce a variety of products and create unique gift sets from local fruit products. The Company's products are consumed in stores and supermarkets in provinces and cities across the country.

The campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods” continues to be effectively implemented in the province, making Vietnamese goods known and loved by people; supporting enterprises and cooperatives to produce goods, meeting market demand and developing the local socio-economy.
