On November 15, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Department of Information Security (Ministry of Information and Communications), IEC Group and Viettel Cyber Security Company organized a workshop on "Information security investment orientation for the digital future".
At the workshop, many experts recognized that the risk of information security loss is always present, so when organizations and businesses implement information security measures, they need to pay attention to complying with the law, and determine that ensuring information security is the responsibility of businesses, especially businesses providing online services to people.
Mr. Nguyen Son Hai, Director of Viettel Cyber Security Company, said that since the beginning of the year, Vietnam has had 12 million accounts hacked, 48 million personal and organizational data records leaked and sold on cyberspace; financial fraud has occurred with 5,800 fraudulent domain names, including many impersonating banks, e-wallets, manufacturing enterprises, and retail enterprises; threatening attacks and ransom demands have also occurred with 300GB of encrypted data.
Mr. Tran Dang Khoa, Deputy Director in charge of the Department of Information Security, said that investment in network safety and security needs to focus on promoting efficiency; domestic enterprises need to prioritize information security solutions Made in Vietnam because domestic network security enterprises have full products, solutions, and techniques to deploy.
