This year's National Day holiday will give civil servants, public employees, and workers in state agencies four consecutive days off, from Friday, September 1st to Monday, September 4th. Due to the relatively long holiday period, the demand for travel is high.

According to surveys on online airline ticket booking websites, airfares for this year's National Day holiday have increased, with some flights already sold out of economy and budget fares. Flights to tourist destinations and major cities are the most sought-after by passengers.
For example, connecting flights between Vinh and Phu Quoc operated by Vietnam Airlines on September 1st (the first day of the holiday) were sold out of super-saver and economy-saver tickets, leaving only higher-priced economy tickets (from 4 to 5.3 million VND/one-way) and business class tickets available.
For the Vinh – Phu Quoc direct flight offered by Vietjet Air, the lowest fare on September 1st increased to 1.7 million VND/one-way, compared to the usual price of 900,000 – 1 million VND/one-way.

For the Vinh – Ho Chi Minh City flight on September 1st, Vietnam Airlines has 6 flights, but all economy class tickets are sold out. The lowest price is 1.6 million VND/one-way, whereas on previous days tickets could be purchased for around 900,000 VND/one-way.
For Vietjet Air, on September 1st, there are 5 flights from Vinh to Ho Chi Minh City with ticket prices starting from 1.4 million VND/one-way, compared to 720,000 VND/one-way on regular days. Ticket prices for routes from Vinh to other provinces and cities are also higher than usual, making it difficult to find cheaper tickets.
Not only in Nghe An but also in other provinces and cities, tickets are scarce and prices have increased significantly. For example, flights from Hanoi to domestic tourist destinations such as Da Lat, Hue, Nha Trang, Da Nang... during the holiday period cost from 3 to 4 million VND/round-trip ticket. This price is double that of normal days.

Mr. Dao Van Khanh, Deputy Head of Vietnam Airlines (VNA) branch in Nghe An, said: Although the holiday is still nearly a month away, many passengers have already booked tickets through the website, call center, and branches, with a significant increase in bookings to tourist destinations. The unit has instructed staff to be on duty 24/7 to answer questions and assist passengers with procedures during this peak booking period.
Representatives from Vinh International Airport stated that the ticket shortage is mainly concentrated in economy and budget classes. This year, due to the economic downturn and consumers tightening their spending, although the number of passengers is higher than usual, it is not expected to be as dramatically as during last year's National Day holiday on September 2nd.
It is known that Vinh Airport will see approximately 50-60 takeoffs and landings during the holiday period, higher than on normal days. The airport management has implemented plans to ensure flight safety for passengers during the peak National Day holiday on September 2nd.

Airlines are preparing supply plans for this period while focusing on coordinating with authorities to implement modern technological solutions, especially automated passport scanning systems and electronic identity accounts, in order to provide passengers with the safest, most convenient, and comfortable flights possible.
To best serve the travel needs of passengers during the peak National Day holiday on September 2nd, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requires airlines to ensure on-time operation and minimize delays and cancellations. Airlines must ensure the provision of full passenger services at airports in case of flight delays or disruptions; and promptly assign staff to address passenger inquiries and needs in accordance with legal regulations.
