Returning to the Source in April - A Mark of Gratitude, Spreading Identity
In celebration of the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country, on April 23rd, the Women's Union of Hiep Thanh, Vinh Trach, and Bac Lieu wards organized a journey to the roots with the theme "Gratitude for April - Shining with Identity," attracting more than 90 exemplary female cadres and members.

Speaking at the program, the Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Hiep Thanh Ward, Ngo Thi Bich Loan, emphasized that the journey is not only an opportunity to pay tribute to previous generations but also contributes to fostering national pride, raising awareness of preserving cultural identity, and promoting the role of women in the new era; thereby spreading patriotism, educating about traditions, and building a stronger Women's Union organization.

As part of the program, the delegation laid wreaths and offered incense at the Monument to the Heroes and Martyrs and the Monument commemorating the Tet Offensive of 1968. In a solemn atmosphere, the delegates expressed their profound gratitude to those who sacrificed their lives for the independence and freedom of the nation.

The delegation also visited the Cultural and Art Exhibition Center (Three Conical Hats Museum) and the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee History Museum . Through the exhibits and documents, the officials and members gained a better understanding of the revolutionary struggle traditions of the nation and the locality.

The cultural space of the three ethnic groups Kinh, Khmer, and Hoa reflects the diversity, interconnectedness, and harmonious coexistence of the people in the Southern region of Vietnam.
Museum staff introduce documents and artifacts about the revolutionary struggle, contributing to enriching the historical awareness of the members.
Come and explore the space dedicated to traditional Vietnamese folk music and experience singing folk songs.
The trip also included a visit to the Tam Ben Vineyard eco-tourism model (Xom Lam hamlet, Hiep Thanh ward). Here, members learned about the process of planting and caring for grapes, as well as the model of combining production with experiential tourism, contributing to suggesting suitable economic development and entrepreneurship directions in the new situation.
The highlight of the program was the image of members in traditional "áo bà ba" attire, contributing to honoring the beauty of Southern Vietnamese women and strengthening the bond between different levels of the Women's Union.
Through practical activities, the journey back to our roots not only contributes to traditional education but also inspires a proactive and creative spirit in economic development and building a more prosperous homeland.
