[Video] Vietnamese students won 5 medals at the International Physics Olympiad IPhO 2025

On the evening of July 24 (local time), in the Republic of France, the Organizing Committee of the 55th International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) announced the official results. The Vietnamese national team of 5 students competing all won medals, with 1 Gold Medal and 4 Silver Medals.

The only Gold Medal of the delegation belonged to Nguyen The Quan, a 12th grade student at Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted ( Nghe An ).
Four Silver Medals were awarded to students: Ly Ba Khoi and Truong Duc Dung (High School for Gifted Students of Natural Sciences , Hanoi National University), Nguyen Cong Vinh (Bac Ninh High School for Gifted Students), Tran Le Thien Nhan (Hue High School for Gifted Students).

This achievement puts Vietnam in the group of 10 delegations with the highest results out of 94 teams participating in IPhO 2025.

The 2025 International Physics Olympiad takes place from July 17 to 25 in France, gathering 406 official contestants.
