Responding to a reporter's question asking for Vietnam's stance on the April 22 terrorist attack in India, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang clearly stated: "Vietnam strongly condemns the April 22 terrorist attack in the Baisaran Valley, Pahalgam of Jammu and Kashmir state, which resulted in many deaths and injuries."
Vietnam sends its deepest condolences to the Government and people of India, and the families of the victims, and believes that the perpetrators will soon be duly punished.
Yesterday (April 23), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent his condolences to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian people.
Regarding citizen protection, the Foreign Ministry spokesperson said that immediately after receiving news of the terrorist attack, the Foreign Ministry directed Vietnamese representative agencies in India to urgently work with local authorities to verify the information.
So far, according to information from Vietnamese representative agencies in India, no Vietnamese citizens have been affected in this incident.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vietnamese representative agencies in India will continue to coordinate with Indian authorities to closely monitor the situation and be ready to deploy citizen protection measures when necessary.
