Returning to DIFF after their first participation and strong impression in 2025, the Z121 - Vietnam 2 team stated that they have made more comprehensive preparations for this year's season.
Colonel Tran Anh Manh, Deputy Director of Chemical Company 21 (Z121), said that the success at DIFF 2025 was a source of pride but also provided many valuable lessons. From the arrangement of artillery positions and the selection of artillery types to the ability to synchronize with the music , everything was meticulously researched to be even better for this return.
According to Colonel Tran Anh Manh, preparations for DIFF 2026 have been underway for about six months. The team organized numerous professional workshops to select music, develop scripts, design effects, and assign specific tasks to each member to ensure the highest quality performances.
With the theme of DIFF 2026, Z121 aims to convey to the audience and international friends the image of a beautiful Vietnam, rich in identity, actively integrating into the international community, and ready to confidently move forward into the future.
The highlight of Z121's performance this year is the story of a Vietnam rich in identity, proactively integrating into the global community, and steadily moving towards the future. The fireworks effects, produced by Z121 itself, will be used to recreate images of Vietnam's land and people, along with the nation's aspirations for development.
In particular, the team will incorporate the image of the palm tree into their performance – a familiar symbol of the Hung Kings' ancestral land, where the unit is stationed. This image is expected to contribute to conveying a message about the enduring vitality, resilient spirit, and upward striving of the Vietnamese people.
DIFF 2026 kicks off with a bang, affirming its status as a world- class fireworks festival.
VHO - With spectacular fireworks displays, the largest stage in the festival's history, and a series of unique artistic and technological activities, the opening night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2026 offered tens of thousands of spectators a visual and emotional feast on the banks of the Han River.
Following DIFF 2025, Z121 has also invested heavily in performance technology. The unit now fully utilizes 3D fireworks simulation technology in design and effect verification before implementation, contributing to improved accuracy and artistic quality of the performances.
With over 30 years of experience in fireworks production, Z121's products are now exported to many international markets such as the US, Japan, and Dubai. According to the company's leadership, DIFF is not only a platform to promote Vietnamese fireworks brands but also opens up opportunities for international cooperation, gradually bringing Vietnam's fireworks display capabilities to the world.

The French team celebrated Da Nang's culture through music and light.
Making their debut at DIFF, the French team presented a unique perspective on the theme of "Heritage," drawing inspiration from the history, culture, and development journey of Da Nang.
Arnaud Fouriau, captain of the French team, said that the members had completed most of the fireworks installation. The team is now focusing on the final connections and technical checks to ensure the performance runs smoothly.
Despite encountering some minor obstacles during equipment transportation, preparations proceeded smoothly. The French team highly appreciated the professionalism of the DIFF Organizing Committee as well as the enthusiastic support from experts and technical personnel in Da Nang.

He also expressed his admiration for the friendliness and hospitality of the local people and assessed DIFF as one of the largest, internationally-recognized fireworks festivals, with an increasingly strong appeal within the global fireworks community.

Audiences are anticipating the surprises that will light up the skies of Da Nang on the night of June 6th, as music, light, and fireworks art blend together to tell stories of heritage in a language without borders.
Following the second night of competition, the subsequent nights of DIFF 2026 will take place every Saturday evening. Specifically, on June 13th, Japan will compete against Italy with the theme "Culture"; on June 20th, Germany and Macau (China) will compete with the theme "Creativity"; and on June 27th, Australia and Portugal will compete with the theme "Vision". The grand finale will be held on July 11th.
