Viet Tri is building infrastructure to attract investment.

The urban landscape of Viet Tri is becoming increasingly attractive and modern.

Transportation infrastructure is becoming increasingly integrated and modern.

Following the principle of "planning always comes first," the city has prioritized resources to gradually improve key infrastructure, especially the transportation system, creating a foundation for socio-economic development and accelerating urbanization.

Based on the revised master plan for Viet Tri city until 2040 approved by the Prime Minister , in 2024, the city continued to finalize the 1/2000 scale zoning plans for the communes of Thuy Van, Thanh Dinh, and Chu Hoa; and submitted them to the Department of Construction for appraisal. The city also completed and submitted to the Provincial People's Committee for approval the revised 1/2000 scale zoning plans for the central areas of Gia Cam, Tien Cat, and Minh Nong wards. Furthermore, it approved 3 projects for partial adjustments to the 1/500 scale detailed planning of residential areas, 3 overall site planning projects, and 2 new planning tasks.

Participated in providing feedback on the 1/2000 scale zoning plan for Hung Vuong University and several planning projects such as: the Southeast New Urban Area, the Nam Minh Phuong New Urban Area, the Minh Phuong - Thuy Van New Urban Area, the Trung Vuong New Urban Area, and the inland waterway terminal in Song Lo commune.

The city is focusing intensely on investing in and constructing basic infrastructure, managing construction investment activities, and improving the efficiency of investment projects funded by the state budget. In 2024, the city commenced construction on 40 new projects with a total investment of nearly 1.1 trillion VND; accelerated the implementation of 67 ongoing projects with a total investment of nearly 2.1 trillion VND; and achieved a cumulative completed volume of over 1.2 trillion VND.

Some projects have a high completion rate, such as: the road connecting Hung Vuong Street to Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, Phu Dong Street to Au Co Street; Mai An Tiem Street, the road from Thuy Van Industrial Park to Thanh Dinh Commune People's Committee,... The completion and commissioning of several projects contribute to further improving the quality of the city's transportation infrastructure, such as: Tran Nguyen Han Street, the extended Hai Ba Trung Street, Quang Trung Street, Han Thuyen Street, Van Cao Street and some branch lines in Tan Dan Ward;...

Simultaneously, the city continues to implement the City People's Council's resolutions on the investment policy for two Group B projects. Specifically, the project for the road connecting the Thuy Van Industrial Zone to the Nguyen Tat Thanh - Ton Duc Thang road in Viet Tri City has been approved and is currently undergoing surveying, design drawings, cost estimation, and land acquisition. The city is accelerating the implementation of the investment plan for the construction of rural roads using cement concrete and residential roads using asphalt concrete and sidewalks through socialized methods. To date, 8.24km out of 12.94km of rural roads using cement concrete have been completed, reaching 64% of the plan; 3.8km of residential roads using asphalt concrete have been completed with a total cost of 5.6 billion VND, of which the state budget contributed 3.1 billion VND, reaching 31% of the plan.

Major transportation projects, once implemented and completed, not only contribute to the construction of a modern and integrated urban scale but also facilitate connectivity between localities within the province, as well as with other provinces and cities, gradually forming the urban infrastructure framework of Viet Tri and promoting trade and economic development.

Viet Tri is building infrastructure to attract investment.

The signing of an agreement to establish friendly cooperative relations between the leaders of Viet Tri City and Linyi City, Shandong Province, China, has opened up many opportunities for cooperation and development in various fields.

Creating momentum to attract investment

With synchronized investment in infrastructure development projects, especially key transportation infrastructure projects, significant breakthroughs have attracted considerable investment. As a result, socio-economic indicators are gradually making their mark. In the first nine months of 2024, the city's industrial and handicraft production continued to remain stable, creating jobs for over 2,300 local workers.

Several traditional industrial and processing/manufacturing products have met their targets and shown growth compared to the same period last year, such as: Display components (LCD screens) reaching 117.9% of the plan, equivalent to 108.7% compared to the same period last year; various types of vehicle parts reaching 91.4% of the plan, equivalent to 114.5% compared to the same period last year; metal coating services reaching 86.8% of the plan, equivalent to 117.9% compared to the same period last year; cameras and optical products reaching 83.2% of the plan, equivalent to 174.8% compared to the same period last year; various types of cardboard reaching 81.8% of the plan, equivalent to 111.6% compared to the same period last year;...

In accordance with the policies of Phu Tho province and the Viet Tri City Party Committee, the City People's Committee has issued and implemented Plan No. 3530/KH-UBND on improving the investment and business environment in the city for the period 2021-2025; and has disseminated it to departments, units, officials, civil servants, workers, and the people for synchronized and effective implementation.

The city also publicly and transparently provides information on administrative procedures, plans, and projects, making it easy for citizens and businesses to access them. In particular, the city has decisively directed land compensation and clearance efforts, focusing resources on key projects and creating conditions to accelerate project progress. In addition, it has effectively implemented preferential policies on taxes, fees, and charges for businesses, households, cooperatives, etc.

In addition, it is necessary to regularly monitor and understand the production and business activities; promptly resolve difficulties and obstacles; diversify and improve the quality of business support services, especially services providing information on markets, partners, labor, and employment support services, etc.

In addition, foreign affairs and strengthening cooperation for development have also received attention and emphasis. In April 2024, during a visit by a delegation from the Linyi City government, Shandong Province, China, led by Comrade Xuan Xinyang - Standing Committee Member and Vice Mayor of Linyi City, an agreement was signed to establish friendly cooperative relations with the People's Committee of Viet Tri City.

At the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Thu Hien, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Viet Tri City, stated that Viet Tri is a Class I city directly under Phu Tho province and one of the 12 regional cities of Vietnam. Thanks to its convenient transportation infrastructure, Viet Tri has experienced strong development in all fields over the years. The signing of this agreement between the two sides marks an important milestone in their cooperative relationship and also opens up many new opportunities for future cooperation in various fields such as culture, arts, education, economic development, and trade.

Through the exchange, the two sides engaged in dialogue, sharing investment cooperation opportunities, strengths, policies, and commitments from city leaders to create favorable conditions for partners and investors; they also recommended solutions, policies, and preparations to welcome a new wave of investment attraction.

Comrade Nguyen Manh Son - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Viet Tri City Party Committee, affirmed: The last months of the year are a "sprint" to complete the targets and tasks according to the 2024 plan, and also serve as the basis for achieving all the goals set forth in the Resolution of the 21st City Party Congress and the socio-economic development plan for the 2021-2026 period. Therefore, the city will focus on overcoming existing shortcomings, while continuing to review and direct the implementation of key tasks, effectively implementing programs and plans to complete the targets and tasks set for 2024 and for the entire 2020-2025 term; accelerating the implementation of breakthroughs in significantly improving the investment and business environment, reforming administrative procedures, public investment, developing services, tourism, and building a civilized and modern urban area; We strive to ensure that by the end of 2024, most of the targets set by the Congress will be achieved and exceeded.
