Vietcombank officially sells SJC gold bars via app

Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam ( Vietcombank - HoSE: VCB) has just announced the implementation of the SJC Gold Bar Purchase utility on the VCB Digibank application.

Accordingly, in order to further improve the convenience and quality of customer service, from August 27, 2024, Vietcombank will deploy the utility of Buying SJC gold bars on VCB Digibank.

At the same time, the bank will also stop providing the services of making appointments to buy SJC gold bars on the Vietcombank website and making payments to buy SJC gold bars at the counter.

Vietcombank also noted that the utility applies to Vietnamese individuals who are using the VCB Digibank application, have a VND payment account opened at Vietcombank and are active.

Vietcombank launched the utility of Buying SJC gold bars on VCB Digibank from August 27.

The time to schedule and pay for gold purchases on the VCB Digibank application is from 10am to 4pm on weekdays. When paying for gold purchases, customers must not use the overdraft limit to pay.

When arriving at the location to deliver gold according to the appointment schedule, customers present their identification documents and the gold purchase transaction code (ref number) sent by Vietcombank via OTT message/email registered with VCB Digibank.

Regarding the steps users need to take to register to buy gold, customers need to choose the maximum quantity, location and time of delivery of gold bars at the counter in accordance with current regulations.

Then review and update the personal information displayed on the transaction screen.

Make payment for gold purchases directly on the VCB Digibank application and receive an electronic invoice via the email address that the customer has registered to use VCB Digibank.

Receive appointment confirmation with specific information about time and location of gold bar delivery via OTT message/email registered to use VCB Digibank.

In the market, the price of SJC gold at Doji Group in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City is being bought and sold at 79 - 81 million VND/tael, unchanged in both buying and selling compared to the previous session. The difference between buying and selling is 2 million VND/tael.
