Vietlott pays out over 4,353 billion VND in prizes, will launch a new lottery in 2025

(Chinhphu.vn) - In 2024, Vietnam Computerized Lottery Company Limited (Vietlott) will achieve revenue of more than VND 7,915 billion, an increase of 25% compared to 2023 and exceeding 16.4% of the plan assigned by the Ministry of Finance; pay nearly VND 2,100 billion to the State budget; pay more than VND 4,353 billion in prizes, pay commissions and authorization fees to agents of more than VND 636 billion; and together with prize winners and Tam Tai Viet Fund, carry out social security of nearly VND 22 billion.

Besides business activities, Vietlott, winners and Tam Tai Viet Fund also actively participate in social security activities.

In 2025, Vietlott plans to launch a new lottery called Lotto 5/35 with a unique way of playing, attractive prize structure and the only jackpot division feature in Vietnam.

In 2024, Vietlott recorded revenue of more than VND 7,915 billion, an increase of 25% compared to 2023 and exceeding the plan assigned by the Ministry of Finance by 16.4%, specifically: Revenue from matrix lottery with high-value Jackpot prizes (Mega 6/45, Power 6/55) was VND 3,650 billion; revenue from series lottery with familiar gameplay (Max 3D/3D+, Max 3D Pro) was VND 343 billion; revenue from quick-dial lottery (Keno, Bingo18) was VND 2,294 billion.

In 2024, Vietlott's after-tax profit reached more than VND 283 billion, an increase of VND 41 billion over the same period. Vietlott contributed nearly VND 2,100 billion to local budgets, including: value added tax (tax rate of 10%), special consumption tax (tax rate of 15%), personal income tax from prize winners (tax rate of 10% of the prize value exceeding VND 10 million), corporate income tax (tax rate of 20%), other taxes and all after-tax profits.

Corresponding to the growth in revenue, Vietlott also paid out and reserved more than 4,353 billion VND in prizes, an increase of more than 915 billion VND compared to 2023. Of which, the matrix lottery products (Mega 6/45, Power 6/55) had 98 Jackpot winning tickets; the series lottery products (Max 3D/3D+, Max 3D Pro) had 53 special prize winning tickets. Notably, Vietlott recorded 2 prize records as the largest prize in the history of Vietnamese lottery - Jackpot 1 of Power 6/55 lottery, period QSMT 0120 worth more than 314 billion VND and for the first time, a player won 30 special prizes worth 30 billion VND of Max 3D+ lottery.

Vietlott and Tam Tai Viet Fund award scholarships to students at universities

Vietlott is currently operating through two distribution channels nationwide: terminals and telephones. Up to now, Vietlott has 6,624 terminals at points of sale covering 63 provinces and cities, creating about 12,000 jobs. Vietlott has deployed a point of sale system with the main focus being poor households; households with special difficulties; households of war invalids, sick soldiers, and those with revolutionary contributions; households affected by Agent Orange... With the policy of creating conditions for social policy beneficiaries to become points of sale, Vietlott has supported these points of sale to improve their income with safe jobs, suitable for their health and circumstances.

For the phone distribution channel, Vietlott has more than 3 million accounts participating in the lottery on the phone distribution channel. To help players easily entertain themselves with lottery products, Vietlott SMS has expanded its connection with 26 network/e-wallet/bank applications such as Momo, Zalopay, VnPay, Viettel Money, MobiFone Money, VNPT Money, Vietcombank, BIDV .... In 2024, Vietlott also paid more than 636 billion VND in commissions and authorization fees to agents nationwide, an increase of 134 billion VND compared to 2023.

In addition to business activities, Vietlott, the winners and Tam Tai Viet Fund also actively participate in social security activities with a total value of up to 22 billion VND. Of which, Vietlott has sponsored 130 houses of gratitude/great solidarity, sponsored the construction of schools, sponsored scholarships for students in difficult circumstances with an amount of more than 8.2 billion VND. Vietlott cooperated with Tam Tai Viet Fund to carry out activities such as buying nearly 2,800 health insurance cards for lottery ticket sellers, sponsoring scholarships to students in difficult circumstances, building bridges in the Southwest region, sponsoring hospital construction, supporting localities to overcome the consequences of storms and floods with an amount of more than 13.8 billion VND.

Lotto 5/35 lottery is expected to be issued by Vietlott in 2025

In addition to the types of lottery currently being issued, in 2025, Vietlott will launch a new fast-spin lottery called Lotto 5/35 with a unique way of playing, an attractive prize structure and a unique jackpot division feature in Vietnam: drawing 2 times/day, 7 days/week; jackpot from 6 billion VND, jackpot division when the jackpot exceeds 12 billion VND; matching 1 number already has a prize. The fast-spin lottery Lotto 5/35 will be distributed on both terminal and phone channels.
