Traffic restrictions on two inland waterways in Hanoi area from October 10

(Chinhphu.vn) - The Northern Maritime and Waterways Department (Ministry of Construction) has just announced traffic restrictions on two inland waterways to serve the construction of bridges over the Red River, starting from October 10.

Vehicles entering restricted traffic areas must comply with the instructions of traffic control forces to ensure safety.

The two projects include Me So Bridge and Hong Ha Bridge, part of Component Project 3 - Investment in highway construction under the PPP method, part of the Ring Road 4 Project - Hanoi Capital Region.

Accordingly, from 7:00 a.m. on October 10, 2025 to April 2027, the traffic flow standards will be restricted in the Me So bridge construction area, section Km 149+000 - Km 150+200 of the Red River national waterway. This area is located between Hong Van commune (Hanoi) and Me So commune ( Hung Yen ).

From October 10, 2025 to June 2027, traffic rules will be restricted at the construction area of ​​Hong Ha Bridge, section Km 197+700 - Km 198+700 of the Red River, in the territory of O Dien commune, Me Linh, Yen Lang (Hanoi).

The Department requires water vehicles passing through the area to comply with the instructions of the regulatory force and comply with the inland waterway signaling system to ensure traffic safety during the construction period.
