VHO - On the evening of October 9, the rehearsal of the opening ceremony of the first World Cultural Festival in Hanoi took place at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Center (Thang Long Heritage Conservation Center, Hanoi).

The festival is chaired by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Hanoi People's Committee, to honor the cultural diversity of countries around the world, while promoting the image of the country and people of Vietnam to international friends.

At the rehearsal, Minister Nguyen Van Hung gave specific instructions to the program implementation team.

Minister Nguyen Van Hung emphasized that as the first event held in Vietnam, the Festival needs to be carefully and professionally prepared, not only to ensure artistic quality but also to bring domestic audiences and international friends unique and new cultural experiences.

The Minister affirmed that through the Festival, Vietnam has the opportunity to introduce the image of a friendly and hospitable country with a rich cultural life and rich national identity.

This is also an opportunity for Vietnamese artists to demonstrate their creativity, spirit of integration and aspiration to reach out to the world through the language of art.

At the rehearsal, the Minister acknowledged and commended the serious, creative, and enthusiastic working spirit of the artists, actors, and production crew.

The Minister requested units to continue reviewing and perfecting scripts, improving the quality of practice and performance so that each performance is a unique artistic highlight, thereby spreading Vietnamese cultural values ​​to friends around the world.

With the spirit of Connecting - Sharing - Spreading love , the Festival will take place in a joyful atmosphere, gathering a large number of international friends, artists, organizations and Vietnamese people, international tourists...

Not only is it a meeting of friendship between cultures, the event is also a humanitarian journey towards people who are heavily affected by natural disasters.

At the Heritage Footsteps program taking place on Saturday evening, October 11, a charity auction will take place. All funds raised will be transferred to localities affected by floods, supporting the reconstruction of houses, schools and civil works.

From there, the Festival spreads the message of global solidarity in joining hands to solve human challenges, especially climate change - a challenge that no country can stand aside from.

The program impresses with the combination of modern projection, sound and lighting technology.

At the Festival, colorful cultural spaces are vividly recreated: from traditional dances, international costume and cuisine displays, to unique Vietnamese art performances... all carry the message that the world is beating with the same rhythm of love .

One of the highlights of the Opening Ceremony was the special art program, which was elaborately staged, combining traditional and modern art, bringing the audience an emotional "feast" of art.
