From October 10-12, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Hanoi People's Committee to organize the first World Cultural Festival in Hanoi at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Heritage Center.
With the spirit of “Connecting-Sharing-Spreading Love,” the Festival is not only a meeting of friendship between cultures around the world , but also a journey of compassion towards communities that are heavily affected by natural disasters, demonstrating the spirit of international solidarity in solving common global challenges, including the issue of climate change that no country can stand aside from.
According to information from the Department of International Cooperation (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), there are currently many artists, individuals and organizations registering to donate items for charity auctions.
In the fashion-art show “Heritage Footsteps” on the evening of October 11, the Organizing Committee will auction the 5 most beautiful costumes of the designers: Van Hang (Ao Dai brand Desilk), Vu Viet Ha, Co Phuc Mi Xiem Y, Anh Thu (Ao Dai brand Ngan An) and Ha Trinh (Hanuo).
Artist Ngo Ba Hoang, author of the large-scale painting series “Hello Vietnam - My Homeland”, donated a large-scale painting (1.8mx5m) and a lotus ceramic vase - the artist's ceramic painting work to participate in the auction.
All funds raised will be transferred to localities affected by floods to support the rebuilding of houses, schools and civil works.
The World Cultural Festival not only honors cultural diversity, but also demonstrates the spirit of humanity when people, regardless of language or skin color, still share the same heart and spirit of solidarity, joining hands to heal the world, for a better life.
