The Group's leaders and specialized departments inspected the production site for tunnel excavation and underground coal mining at Thong Nhat Coal Mine.
In 2024, the average income of underground coal miners in the Group reached 20.5 million VND/person/month; 7 workers earned over 700 million VND/year, and nearly 11,600 miners earned over 300 million VND/year, accounting for 47% of the total number of miners, an 8% increase compared to 2023.
The corporation has increased investment, controlled occupational safety and hygiene, improved working conditions, and implemented welfare policies specific to the coal industry. Specifically, Vinacomin has performed 450 lung lavage procedures per year at a cost of 22.5 billion VND; organized sightseeing and vacation trips for employees; planned the construction of housing for underground miners; and effectively implemented in-kind compensation, shift meal allowances, and standardized meal allowances.
In 2025, Vinacomin will continue to implement many comprehensive solutions to improve working conditions, aiming to enhance labor safety and increase average labor productivity by 5-6% compared to 2024; while also continuing to care for the material and spiritual well-being of employees, especially regarding housing.
The corporation aims for an average salary of over 18 million VND/month, a 3.1% increase compared to the plan, and for over 90% of employees to receive opportunities for sightseeing and vacation.
