VinFast Auto has officially held the groundbreaking ceremony for its electric vehicle assembly plant project in Subang, West Java, Indonesia. Building the plant in Southeast Asia's most promising electric vehicle market will create job opportunities for local workers, affirming VinFast's strong determination in its expansion strategy in the region and its commitment to promoting Indonesia's electric vehicle industry.

On July 15, 2024, VinFast Auto officially held the groundbreaking ceremony for its electric vehicle assembly plant project in Subang, West Java, Indonesia.
The VinFast electric vehicle assembly plant will be built in Subang, Indonesia's new key industrial city, with an initial investment of approximately US$200 million. The VinFast plant is expected to have a production capacity of 50,000 vehicles per year and will include key areas such as a Body Shop, Assembly Plant, Paint Shop, testing area, etc.
The VinFast factory is expected to begin operations in Q4/2025 and will produce the VF 3, VF 5, VF 6, and VF 7 models in left-hand drive versions for the Indonesian market.
The project will also create thousands of job opportunities for local people, increase the skilled labor rate, significantly contribute to the economic and social development of the local community, and make a crucial contribution to promoting green transportation in Indonesia.

The VinFast factory is expected to begin operations in Q4/2025 and will produce the VF 3, VF 5, VF 6, and VF 7 models in left-hand drive versions for the Indonesian market.
