The ASMO International Science , Mathematics and English Olympiad; SEAMO English Mathematics Olympiad helps assess global Science, Mathematics and English proficiency for students from primary to high school. Over the years, the exam has attracted many students in Lao Cai province to participate.
Honor and award students who win prizes in competitions.
At the national round of the ASMO Science, Mathematics and English Olympiad; SEAMO Mathematics and English Olympiad in 2023, Lao Cai city had 146 students winning Gold medals, of which 26 excellent students entered the ASMO 2023 International Finals and achieved 3 Gold medals, 2 Silver medals, 6 Bronze medals, 10 Encouragement prizes and 5 students received certificates. Notably, 1 student achieved the maximum score of 100/100 and was in the top 1 internationally.
On this occasion, the Departmentof Education and Training of Lao Cai city also awarded prizes and certificates to teachers participating in competitions, including: Competition for designing test questions to develop students' qualities and competencies; competition for teachers who are good at teaching STEM lessons; competition for teachers who are good at teaching connected lessons for primary school level; competition for teachers who make their own teaching aids - develop STEM lesson plans for secondary school level.
