Honoring and developing craft village tourism in Phu Xuyen district

Baoquocte.vn. The 4th Phu Xuyen District Craft Village Honoring Festival will take place from October 26-29 with many rich and meaningful activities.

According to information from the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports , the Festival will have 220 booths displaying and introducing craft village products, OCOP products, and culinary quintessence of Phu Xuyen and districts in Hanoi and 15 provinces and cities nationwide.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Phu Xuyen district coordinated with the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade and the Hanoi Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion to organize the program "OCOP product quintessence and sustainable consumption development in Hanoi city".

The Organizing Committee will announce the decision of the City People's Committee on recognizing the Phu Yen Leather Shoe Craft Village tourist destination; press the electronic button to launch the Phu Xuyen District E-commerce Platform...

In addition, the district will organize the Ancestor Worship Ceremony, palanquin procession in the communes of Phu Tuc, Chuyen My, Phu Yen, Phuong Duc, Van Tu; introduce tours to visit craft villages; organize demonstrations of traditional craft village artisans (making figurines, bamboo and rattan weaving, mother-of-pearl inlay, etc.); auction typical and unique products such as the symbols of Khue Van Cac, Chua Mot Cot and mini tea cabinets of craft village artisans; perform arts and folk games...

Phu Xuyen is known as the "craft district" with 154/154 villages having crafts, of which 43 villages are recognized as traditional craft villages by Hanoi city.

Not only developing traditional craft villages, the district also has 120 ranked historical relics, of which 38 are ranked at national level and 82 are ranked at city level.
