In line with the positive recovery trend of economic growth after the pandemic, and the flourishing of businesses nationwide, the socio-economic development of Vinh Phuc province in recent years has shown many positive signs.

According to the Department of Planning and Investment of Vinh Phuc province, Vinh Phuc currently has 20 industrial parks with approved planning. Of these, 9 industrial parks are operational with an occupancy rate of over 80% of the total area. The province has attracted nearly 1,300 investment projects, including more than 450 FDI projects with a total registered investment capital of nearly US$7.8 billion from 20 countries/territories; and nearly 830 DDI projects with a total investment capital of over VND 130 trillion; creating jobs for hundreds of thousands of workers both within and outside the province.

At the same time, the province directs all levels, sectors, and localities to implement the principle of accompanying businesses; paying attention to and supporting the resolution of difficulties and obstacles for businesses; creating conditions for businesses to develop; and considering the development and vitality of businesses as the development and vitality of the province. Currently, 100% of investment procedures in Vinh Phuc province are declared online through the national information system; 100% of labor-related administrative procedures are implemented on-site, with streamlined and efficient processing times, making it convenient for businesses. The Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee has also promptly submitted proposals to the Government and relevant ministries and agencies to amend, supplement, abolish, and simplify administrative procedures within their authority; developed comprehensive solutions for handling administrative procedures electronically; established procedures for monitoring, resolving, and responding to investor concerns; and innovated the content of meetings and dialogues with businesses to listen to feedback and promptly address difficulties and obstacles.

Proactively seeking and seizing opportunities, Vinh Phuc province has successfully organized numerous investment promotion trips abroad (to the US, South Korea, Japan, etc.); directly worked with businesses, investment funds, and trade promotion organizations to explore directions for tourism development and urban construction, and attracted investment in areas where the province has strengths such as electronics, automobiles, motorcycles, high-tech industries, and supporting industries. In addition, the province has organized many investment promotion conferences to attract strategic investors; and welcomed and worked with many delegations of investors from various countries who visited to learn about the province's business environment.

Boosting tourism and services.

Located just 60km from Hanoi, Vinh Phuc province is ideally situated to attract domestic and international tourists with its many interesting eco-tourism and spiritual tourism destinations. With its potential in culture, land, and people, Vinh Phuc's tourism industry has experienced breakthrough development in recent years. The province boasts over 1300 historical and cultural relics, including 514 classified at various levels and 3 designated as Special National Monuments: Tay Thien Scenic Area, Binh Son Tower, and Tho Tang Temple.

Vinh Phuc is also renowned for its ecotourism, resort tourism, and adventure tourism. Among these, Tam Dao town has long been a beloved tourist destination for both domestic and international visitors. Notably, in 2022, Tam Dao town was recognized as a world-leading tourist destination. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also recognized Tam Dao as a National Tourist Area. Meanwhile, Vinh Phuc's golf course system is among the top 5 most popular golf courses.

In order to attract tourists and promote the beautiful image of Vinh Phuc - a land with many scenic spots and rich cultural traditions - to the world, the province always focuses on the conservation and management of heritage; developing tourism and services in conjunction with ecological and environmental protection; developing new tourism and service products based on leveraging local strengths; strengthening the connection of destinations and service supply chains of localities to become safe and high-quality tourism products…

Over the years, heritage management in Vinh Phuc province has been significantly promoted. The Provincial People's Committee has issued 18 documents directing localities to preserve, protect, and promote cultural heritage; and has directed the completion of dossiers for investment in the restoration and repair of 24 historical sites in the province. Vinh Phuc province has also approved the outline of the project for the preservation and promotion of the value of the Dong Dau archaeological site for the period 2023-2025.

The work of directing and organizing the construction of "Model Cultural Villages" has been implemented comprehensively. To date, many cultural and sports facilities in "model cultural villages" have been inaugurated.

With the goal of developing tourism into a key economic sector, in recent years, Vinh Phuc has implemented numerous tourism promotion and marketing programs with diverse and attractive themes to build a long-term development vision for Vinh Phuc tourism. Particularly noteworthy are the programs linking Vinh Phuc tourism with Ho Chi Minh City and with Phu Quoc - Kien Giang, aiming to improve the quality of tourism and services, connect travel agencies, and introduce Vinh Phuc as a safe and friendly tourist destination to businesses in the southern provinces.
