The performance uses the musical suite "The Four Seasons" by Antonio Vivaldi, written approximately 300 years ago. The version used in "Dó" was arranged by contemporary composer Max Richter with many new layers of harmony and orchestration.

"Dó" - a contemporary ballet combining European classical music and Vietnamese culture - will premiere for audiences in Ho Chi Minh City in early July at the Ho Chi Minh City Opera House.
The program, part of the 74th anniversary of European Day in Vietnam, brings together artists from the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra, the Sun Symphony Orchestra, and the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet Theatre, conducted by conductor Dong Quang Vinh. "Do" promises to take viewers in Ho Chi Minh City through the four seasons of the year with scenes and emotions that are both familiar and new.
