The couple in their 50s happily welcomed their firstborn twins.

The mother is Ms. NTT (48 years old, residing in Dong Nai province). Ms. T. married Mr. H. when she was 44 and he was 46.

Knowing that the chances of conceiving naturally are very rare, Ms. T. and her husband went to fertility centers for examination and consultation on assisted reproductive methods, hoping to have a chance to get pregnant like other families.

Over three years, Ms. T. underwent one unsuccessful intrauterine insemination (IUI) procedure and two unsuccessful in-vitro fertilization (IVF) attempts.

Undeterred, in early 2023, they continued with in-vitro fertilization (IVF) and successfully conceived twins with diplacenta and diamniotic fluid.

The nine months of pregnancy were a long journey filled with joy, happiness, and mixed with stress and anxiety for Ms. T. and Mr. H.

At 12 weeks of pregnancy, a fetal anomaly screening showed a low risk; at 22 weeks, a morphological ultrasound revealed no abnormalities; and at 26 weeks, a glucose tolerance test was negative. Subsequent examinations and ultrasounds showed that both fetuses were developing quite well.

In the early morning of October 7th, at 38 weeks pregnant, Ms. T. showed signs of labor while sleeping. Her family immediately took her to Tu Du Hospital. The on-duty doctor examined her, performed an ultrasound, and attached a monitoring device, assessing the health of both mother and babies as stable. The doctor advised that the most appropriate intervention to deliver the twins was a cesarean section.

On the morning of October 7th, Dr. Hai personally performed a cesarean section on Ms. T. Ten minutes after the surgery, Ms. T. and Mr. H.'s two baby boys were born. Dr. Hai stated that Tu Du Hospital always aims to bring profound value and joy to all families on their journey to becoming mothers.
