Many attractive destinations
Located in the eastern part of Vo Nhai commune, Mo Ga hamlet covers a total area of over 350 hectares and has a population of more than 700 people, with 173 households of Tay and Nung ethnic minorities. In early 2023, the hamlet was recognized by the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province as the province's first community tourism destination.
Mr. Lanh Van Huu, Director of Phu Thuong Agricultural and Forestry Service Cooperative, shared: "Over the past three years since being recognized as the province's first community tourism destination, Mo Ga hamlet has welcomed tens of thousands of tourists. Currently, we have a cooking team of 19 people, an performing arts team of 20 people, and 5 large stilt houses with a capacity of nearly 300 people, along with many impressive experiential activities, ready to serve tourists."
One of the unique features of this community tourism destination is that visitors can experience ecological agriculture and enjoy sweet fruits such as guava, longan, and custard apple. Here, visitors can also immerse themselves in the melodious tunes of the Mo Ga Then Singing and Dan Tinh Playing Club - a gathering place for those who love Then singing and Dan Tinh playing in the area.
The club also regularly brings then songs to local cultural and tourism events and activities, thereby spreading then melodies within the community and contributing to the preservation and promotion of traditional cultural values.
Ms. Hoang Thi Hong Ngoc from Long Bien ward (Hanoi) shared: "My group of friends and I spent two days here. We were very satisfied with the traditional cultural experiences, local cuisine, and accommodation services."

When mentioning tourism in Vo Nhai, one cannot overlook the national historical site and scenic spot of Phuong Hoang Cave and Mo Ga Stream. This is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Thai Nguyen province, attracting up to 80,000 visitors annually during peak seasons. Especially during holidays such as the anniversary of the liberation of Southern Vietnam and national reunification on April 30th, and National Day on September 2nd, the number of visitors can reach up to 5,000 per day.
The Phuong Hoang eco-tourism area attracts visitors not only with its natural beauty but also as one of the most well-invested and professionally managed tourist areas in the province. The main highlight of the area is the cool, green Mo Ga stream flowing from the heart of the rocky mountain.
Mr. Ly Hong Thanh, a tourist from Chu Ward, Bac Ninh Province, was very satisfied with his family's trip to this place. Mr. Thanh said: "My family really enjoyed Mo Ga Stream. On hot days, immersing ourselves in the cool water flowing from the mountain helped us relax and unwind. We will definitely come back here on our next vacation."

Recognizing tourism as a significant potential, Vo Nhai commune has allocated state budget funds to upgrade essential infrastructure such as transportation, public lighting, and cultural facilities. Simultaneously, it has mobilized social resources to build and upgrade tourist areas, attractions, accommodation facilities, restaurants, and distinctive OCOP (One Commune One Product) products; and has focused on training human resources to serve tourism services.
Therefore, tourism in Vo Nhai commune not only creates additional livelihoods for the people but also contributes to shifting the economic structure towards an increasing proportion of services. The development of tourism creates a foundation for forming a service chain linking production, processing, trade to experiential tourism, gradually forming a dynamic economic ecosystem.
In 2025, the total value of products in the area increased by 11%; budget revenue reached over 23.8 billion VND, exceeding the set plan by over 140%. Specifically in the tourism sector, from 2025 to the present, the commune has welcomed nearly 47,000 tourists, bringing in revenue of over 4 billion VND.

Mr. Trieu Van Hien, Chairman of the People's Committee of Vo Nhai commune, said: In the coming time, the commune will continue to develop tourism associated with cultural preservation and environmental protection; build distinctive tourism products such as ecotourism, agricultural experiences, and community culture; continue to invest in infrastructure of potential tourist destinations, promote digital transformation, and promote tourism on digital platforms…
From fascinating caves and crystal-clear streams to the melodious folk songs echoing through the villages, Vo Nhai is gradually asserting its appeal as a destination rich in cultural identity at the northeastern gateway of Thai Nguyen. With its natural potential awakened, traditional culture preserved, and local people becoming key players in tourism, this region is opening up a promising new direction for development.
