2023 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (1973 - 2023) and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the strategic partnership (2013 - 2023) between Vietnam and Singapore. In Quang Ngai, the important achievements of the VSIP Quang Ngai Industrial Park - Urban Area - Service Project (VSIP Quang Ngai), invested by VSIP Quang Ngai Company Limited, have become one of the beautiful symbols of the Vietnam - Singapore relationship.
Started construction in 2013, VSIP Quang Ngai is the 5th project of VSIP Group in Vietnam and also the first VSIP project in the Central region. With investment and infrastructure development according to the standards of professional, green and environmentally friendly industrial parks, VSIP Quang Ngai has become a trusted address for investors.
After nearly 10 years of development, VSIP Quang Ngai has attracted 34 investors from many countries and territories around the world, with a total investment capital of more than 1 billion USD. Of these, 23 investors have started production and business activities, contributing to creating jobs for more than 27,000 workers. It is expected that when all 34 investors come into operation, they will create about 53,000 jobs for workers.

Currently, the project has built VSIP Quang Ngai Industrial Park infrastructure of about 478/660ha of industrial land, with infrastructure and public works built synchronously. Specifically, a wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 12 thousand cubic meters/day and night; a fire station and public security, along with many other utilities have been built right in the Industrial Park to serve the production and development needs of investors.
In recent years, provincial leaders and departments, branches, and localities have focused on supporting and creating favorable conditions for investors to implement the VSIP Quang Ngai project. During the implementation process, the province has paid attention to resolving any problems that arise. In particular, recently, after receiving a request from VSIP Quang Ngai Company Limited regarding the consideration of granting land use right certificates to secondary investors, the province has reviewed and granted 18 land use right certificates to enterprises, creating conditions for enterprises to operate with peace of mind. Actively supporting investors to implement development orientations, turning VSIP Quang Ngai Industrial Park into a model, modern, green, and environmentally friendly industrial park. The province also assigned Son Tinh district to focus on resolving problems, ensuring that from now until December 2023, all remaining clean land must be handed over so that VSIP Quang Ngai Company Limited can fully invest in the infrastructure of VSIP Quang Ngai Industrial Park.
In addition, Dung Quat Economic Zone Management Board and provincial industrial parks also organize connections between foreign enterprises in VSIP Quang Ngai Industrial Park with enterprises in the province and the region to expand product consumption and develop raw material supply channels for production.
Deputy General Director of Dong Ah Vina Co., Ltd. (VSIP Quang Ngai Industrial Park) Kim Tea Hwan said that the company is very pleased with the attention and facilitation of Quang Ngai province in solving related tasks. Especially introducing and connecting reliable partners in the province for the company to cooperate in consuming goods, supplying materials and labor for mutual development.
The leaders of VSIP Quang Ngai Company Limited shared that the company is currently focusing on completing procedures to start the VSIP Quang Ngai II project in 2023. The company is actively coordinating with the Dung Quat Economic Zone Management Board and the provincial industrial parks to resolve procedures, update and supplement policies and mechanisms in accordance with new regulations to meet the conditions for starting construction.
Head of the Management Board of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Industrial Parks of the province, Ha Hoang Viet Phuong, said that the Management Board is focusing on establishing and submitting for approval 9 functional sub-zones, ensuring consistency and science for project implementation when the investment policy is granted.
The VSIP Quang Ngai II project is expected to cover an area of over 470 hectares, located in Son Tinh and Binh Son districts. The project is conveniently located in the connection with the region and functional areas in Dung Quat Economic Zone, contributing to promoting the advantages of the region, creating a driving force for the socio-economic development of the locality. This will be an area that attracts capable investors, industries with advanced technology, and quality human resources to promote production activities with Quang Ngai, gradually forming a high-tech industrial park.
