On the afternoon of November 2nd, Vu Thi Trang ( world No. 133) won her second championship title at the Vietnam International Series 2025 badminton tournament in Bac Ninh, defeating young Thai player Tonrug Saeheng (world No. 246, 17 years old).
Previously, the former number one female tennis player in Vietnam won the Vietnam International Series 2025 tournament in Ninh Binh on October 26th.
In this afternoon's final match, second seed Vu Thi Trang got off to a good start, winning the first set 21-19. However, the Thai player, with her youth and determination, leveled the score at 1-1 in a closely contested set, winning it 21-18.

In the third set, the experience and composure of the former number one Vietnamese player took the initiative, quickly leading her opponent by 3 points at the start.
The Vietnamese women's singles representative maintained her lead, successively going 7-3 and 14-7 before closing out the set with a 21-11 victory. Winning 2-1 against Tonrug Saeheng, Vu Thi Trang secured her second International Series title in 13 days.
Previously, Trang had overcome and faced Sausan Dwi Ramadhani (Indonesia) in the semi-finals after 3 sets, and met Malaysian players Shahidi Shaneesa, Sheng-Chun Huang (Chinese Taipei), and Lim Zhi Shin (Malaysia) in rounds 1, 2, and 3 with the same score of 2-0.
At this tournament, Vietnamese badminton has representatives in 4 out of 5 finals. This afternoon, Le Duc Phat will compete for the championship against the 5th seed, Jewel Angelo Albo (Philippines), in the men's singles event.
The women's doubles event featured a match between Ngoc Lan and Van Anh against Jeon Jui and Kim Ha Na (South Korea), while Vietnam's number one men's doubles pair, Nguyen Dinh Hoang and Tran Dinh Manh, faced Faizal Pangestu and Anju Siahaan (Indonesia).
