On the afternoon of November 2, Vu Thi Trang (ranked 133rd in the world ) won the championship for the second time at the Vietnam International Series 2025 badminton tournament in Bac Ninh, when she defeated young Thai player Tonrug Saeheng (ranked 246, 17 years old).
Previously, the former number 1 female tennis player in Vietnam was crowned champion of the Vietnam International Series 2025 in Ninh Binh on October 26.
In the final match this afternoon, the second seed, Vu Thi Trang, had a good start when she won the first set 21-19. However, the Thai player, with her youth and determination, tied the match 1-1 in a set that was fought for every point, winning 21-18.

In set 3, the experience and bravery of the former number 1 tennis player in Vietnam took the initiative, leading the opponent by 3 points at the beginning.
The Vietnamese women's singles representative maintained the lead with 7-3, 14-7 before ending the match with a 21-11 difference. Winning 2-1 against Tonrug Saeheng, Vu Thi Trang won the International Series championship for the second time in 13 days.
Previously, Trang had overcome and met Sausan Dwi Ramadhani (Indonesia) in the semi-finals after 3 sets, and met Malaysian players, Shahidi Shaneesa, Sheng-Chun Huang (Chinese Taipei), Lim Zhi Shin (Malaysia) in rounds 1, 2, 3 with the same score of 2-0.
At this tournament, Vietnamese badminton has representatives in 4/5 final events. This afternoon, Le Duc Phat will compete for the championship with the 5th seed, Jewel Angelo Albo (Philippines) in the men's singles.
The women's doubles event will see Ngoc Lan - Van Anh compete against Jeon Jui - Kim Ha Na (Korea) and Vietnam's number 1 men's duo, Nguyen Dinh Hoang and Tran Dinh Manh, compete against Faizal Pangestu - Anju Siahaan (Indonesia).
