On the afternoon of October 26th, at the Ninh Binh Provincial Multi-Purpose Gymnasium, Vu Thi Trang won the women's singles title at the Vietnam International Series 2025 Badminton Tournament.
In the first set against the second seed, Oo Shan Zi (18 years old, Malaysia), Vu Thi Trang was unable to pose much of a challenge and easily won 15-7. In the second set, Vu Thi Trang allowed the 18-year-old to come back and win 15-12.
Entering the deciding set, the former number one Vietnamese female tennis player took the lead and reached 8-6 to switch sides. However, her opponent's determination made things difficult for the home player, as the score was leveled at 9-9 from 9-7. At the point where the score was tied at 15-15, Thuy Trang capitalized on her opponent's mistake and pulled ahead to win 17-15.

Earlier, in the semi-finals, Vu Thi Trang faced the third seed Eng Ler Qi (Malaysia) and displayed her composure, closing out the match with a 2-0 victory. Additionally, the former number one Vietnamese female badminton player successively defeated Malaysian player Shahidi Shaneesa in the first round, Kim Sin Hyang (North Korea), and Nattannant Kulanmat (Thailand) with the same 2-0 score.
In the men's doubles event, the pair Nguyen Dinh Hoang - Tran Dinh Manh also excellently reached the final and will face the pair Weeraphat Phakjarung - Tanupat Viriyangkura (Thailand) in the championship match this afternoon.
Following this tournament in Ninh Binh, the players will continue to participate in an international badminton tournament in Bac Ninh starting on October 28th.
