During the course of their duties, the unit's vessels proactively coordinate with the Coast Guard, Border Guard, and local coastal authorities in disseminating information and encouraging fishermen to strictly comply with Vietnamese and international laws on fisheries exploitation; resolutely preventing acts of encroachment on foreign waters for illegal fishing.

Officers and soldiers of Ship 627, Squadron 511, Brigade 127, Region 5 of the Navy approached and disseminated information to fishermen who were harvesting seafood.

To disseminate information and encourage fishermen to comply with legal regulations on marine resource exploitation at sea.
Instruct fishermen on how to inspect and use vessel tracking devices in accordance with regulations.

Along with control work, officers and soldiers of the 5th Naval Region's ships regularly organize mobile propaganda campaigns, distribute leaflets, and deliver letters of appeal from the People's Committees of coastal provinces; guide fishermen in keeping fishing logs and turning on vessel tracking devices; and encourage people to participate in monitoring, detecting, and reporting IUU violations.

With a proactive, resolute, and highly responsible spirit, officers and soldiers of the 5th Naval Region are continuing to stay at sea, accompanying fishermen in venturing out to sea, contributing to maintaining security and order, and building a legal, safe, and sustainable fishing environment.
